Follow up on below review. In response to the following review the restaurant or corporate offices asked me to supply them with my information. I sent them my email address and phone number but still after 2 weeks have not heard back from anybody. I called the store and spoke to a manager named Abby and she said someone would be in touch with me. Still nothing. It is sad to see that Drake's does not care about their customers. Sure they apologized but it's a generic apology to anybody who has written a bad review
I usually do not write reviews, but today my son and I came into your restaurant sat in the outside section, and waited 20 minutes for someone to come by and ask us for water. This was at 230pm on September 14th. During this period of time we noticed several waiters and a waitress pass us at our empty table(no drinks. Silverware or empty dishes). We also noticed two people cleaning one small table in the outside patio area. Another waiter or buser cleaned the table right next to us. He didnt acknowledge us either. We also noticed that there were also several waiters and waitresses at the bar area laughing and carrying on conversations amongst themselves. I thought I caught one waitresses eye but she did not come back and NOBODY EVER asked us if we wanted water or if we were ready to order. NO ONE said a single word to us. No one was there to greet us coming in and after 20 minutes of being completely ignored and unnoticed we decided that we would leave and eat somewhere else. On the way out we weren't even recognized or told to have a good day or asked how was everything? The main reason for writing my review is that I called your manager (Andy) at around 3:30 pm, after eating at another restaurant and arriving home. I told Andy I was a frequent customer and also let him know what happened during our visit. Well it feels like he didnt care how terrible we were treated. All he had to say was "I don't know how we dropped the ball". Needless to say I won't be coming back for your monthly burger or your sushi. There are plenty of restaurants in the area that still have good service and value me as a customer. I will be certain to let all my friends know of my disappointment and i promise to not stay quiet about my experience. I DO understand how hard it is to get good employees at restaurants. There was plenty of staff there, but we didn't see them doing much of anything. What I do not understand is how I was treated by your manager Andy. It just seems like he wanted to get off the telephone with me. I am very grateful for this forum. I always write reviews when things go right. It is so sad I had to write a bad review today. We were ready to order several items and probably would have spent a good $50-$80 in your restaurant today. Well their manager Ryan finally got a hold of me. He truly listened to my concerns. Really cool guy who said he would send me a little something in the mail to make up for the experience. Wow, to my surprise he sent me a dinner certificate for $75. That's so above and beyond. Thank you Ryan
I decided to give them another try. I called the store and a really nice manager Heather helped me. She said "just come on in". So I did with a friend around 7:30.
Night and Day from the experience with my son in mid September.
I came in with my friend and we sat ourselves and we were greeting within a few minutes by a really nice server named Andy. (No not the same Andy from my recent review.) We found a booth in the backside.
Andy represented Drakes and made us feel valued. He could recite the menu. I'm sure he has had everything on it. The way he described the sushi, made my mouth water. He was just what I needed to change my mind about Drakes. Soon Heather came over and thanked me coming back in. She also made me feel very comfortable.
The bar had good music videos playing and Monday night football. Needless to say we were served with professionalism and Andy and his trainee did everything in their power to make us feel special.
I ordered buffalo chicken quesadillas as an appetizer. Andy suggested I have the sushi of the month. It was the last day of the month and last day to try it. For my entree I had fish tacos. I'm sure there are popular item but I like fish tacos with mango and not fried fish. Totally my fault cause I didn't look at the description on the menu. Essentially it's a make your own taco plate. Cool concept but just not for me. The fish was lightly fried which surprised me. It came with lettuce, tomato and cheese. It was accompanied with avocado, tartar sauce, salsa and sour cream. My friend got a Swiss mushroom burger with a batch of fries. It was so big my friend could not finish it.
Well I'm glad they got me back in here. Reminds me of pre-Covid when I would go with my daughter and son-in-law for trivia night. The only thing I regret is not trying any dessert.

The first time the wait for food was very long, three people in the group ordered sushi and when it arrived to the table all of the sushi was on 2 plates, not plated separately and none of the wait staff could tell us which sushi was what.. the second attempt the waitress was super kind and helpful however it still took the food a while to make it to the table. The third attempt was terrible.. at 7:33 pm we placed a order for two sushi rolls and a chips and dip trio the time is now 9:20 pm and I am just now getting to eat my food. To place the order we sat on hold for five plus minutes the bartender christy took the order. We got home to see that not all of our order had made into the bag, so we called a total of 3 times and sat on hold for almost twenty minutes before getting in touch with a manager to help us. On the third attempt to getting in touch with someone that could help us I politically told christy look ma’am I am starting to lose my patience and explained that I had been on hold forever and my some of my order got left out, her response was”look honey you are going to have to hold on I’m am busy trying to do my job “ and then immediately put me on hold. I’m sorry but that is absolutely no way to talk to a customer. Upon finally getting in touch with a manager he was very apologetic and I told him I wanted my money back and that we would bring the food back at this point and he told me their system was not set up to give a refund, so there was no way for him to do it. We returned back to the restaurant so we could get the rest of our order the manager was helpful, but one of the bartenders by the name of Tina was super kind and listened to why we were unhappy and explained that yes the front bar was busy but they had 4 bartenders at the back bar who would have been happy to help us and do so without being rude.
