Came here a couple times. Food is basic fast food, but with a few more choices. Quality is fair. Nothing special. Usually we end up here when the Chik Fil A drive thru is super backed up. My issue with this place is the prices are ridiculous. The first couple times we went, they were a little higher than normal fast food, but not insane. Last week, when Chik Fil A was super busy, we stopped by again. Now I know why this place is always empty. 2 sandwiches, 2 sides and 2 drinks was almost $40. When we got to the drive thru window, we asked the nice kid about the total and his response was "Please don't blame me. The owner sets the prices and everyone is complaining." I really feel bad for him. You can tell he gets the same reaction from all the customers. I'm hoping this place goes out of business so something decent can move in that doesn't price gouge. We will never be back and we definitely have discussed this with many people who are equally shocked and will probably never go there. I understand the prices are on the menu, but at the same time, like most people, we had a reasonable expectation and didn't add up what the items came to. Apparently when you get a meal, everything is charged separately. So $7 per sandwich, $7 per side and $3 for a drink (or something like that). We expected to pay $20 for 2 normal fast good...
Read moreFood: Darntootin’ alright I’d say! Reminds me kinda like a Culver’s (which is like a DW amped up). I can only speak for the burgers (Big n good) n fries (plenty and good aswell) and I enjoyed em. Wife got cheese sticks and they were great too! After you get your meal there is a little condiments buffet. Weirdly though there are some menu items you could make on your own for cheaper. For example there is a Jalapeño Burger for $6 but you could get the normal burger and add Jalapeños at the condiments section. Milkshake was very... whippy, I mean that as it tasted like whip cream.
Price: It’s one of em places that you’ll end up spending more money if you don’t pay attention, like their entrees have one price listed near them so you’d think that’s the normal combo price yet it’s not. The combo price is $3.75 plus your entree price. Of course that is mentioned on the other side of the menu. For two people expect to pay around $15 and that’s if you get two $5 entrees and make one of them a combo while splitting the drink and fries.
Service: They were on top of things while ordering but trying to get their attention again was a little hard because they were running around a bit but I’m sure it’s for good reason. They were nice...
Read moreI stopped by GLEN GENE Drive Thru. I received food that was not as ordered. Waited for 3 steak in sacks for 10 minutes in Drive Thru. I specifically ordered food without dressing. Asked guy at Drive Thru upon getting bagged sandwiches if food was as ordered and he said "Yes". Looked in bag and discovered food was not as ordered. I had to park, leave my mom (who has dementia) and go back in two times (add 15 min.) to get correct sandwiches. When I got home, two of 3 sandwiches on bottom were half wrapped and a sloppy mess. The one on top was wrapped to conceal ones on bottom with torn soggy pita. I paid $7.00 each ($24.00 + total) for a steak pita and had to throw away most of them. The staff was rude, condescending and could care less about the inconvenience they caused. The purpose of a Drive Thru is to avoid entrance to the premises. I have been a patron of this place since eating at their downtown locations yrs. ago. I will not patronize...
