The store manager tammy is so rude and hateful to all her customers, do not recommend this place at all. She is despicably rude, yells at customers, can hear her cussing and yelling from the lobby, have heard her talking disrespectfully about customers from the back of the store while in the lobby and the customer still be in the store. I’ve never met someone in my life so mad at the world. If she hates her life and job that much she needs a big change and humbled quickly. Seen a lot of the employees including tammy eating food their work station and never wash their hands before working or after eating out of customers food or even there would be food from their work line itself. I don’t know how this place is still open with the ratchet manager of theirs. No one here knows what they’re doing, none of them can work together or even help each other out. I always see at least one person out working and the rest in the back laughing and sitting down having fun while they make the lowest person on the totem poll do all the work for them cause they are all lazy. If you want a good clean sandwich I recommend anywhere else but the local firehouse subs. All local locations are horrible service, bad food, bad employees, and dirty restaurants. The only time they like to clean is when the health inspection is coming up, other than that everything is dirty. Even their ice machines have mold growing in them. Most of the food like meat is left out for hours without refrigeration and they don’t even care. Most of the time they are slicing meat with no gloves just bare handed eating meat while slicing. If you want to get sick, eat/share food after most of the employees and have the worst experience, this is the place for you. If I could rate it a 0 I would because I wholeheartedly believe giving them a 1 star rating is reaching and would be a lie if I say I enjoyed any of it for...
Read moreI went in on Halloween for 2 subs, the first time we ordered my mother went in it was very pleasant and the first women was very nice, but she left the store and checked my order and I realized that the sandwiches were toasted when we didn't ask for it, in which I went in politely said "Excuse me, I had just ordered in here and my sandwichs were toasted, can I get them remade?", in which she says which she as in a different women, "They come toasted, and she didn't ask for it not to be toasted". I who ordered there not to long ago online didn't receive them toasted. And I tell her that, "Well they come toasted but online it different it'll ask, but they come toasted, I'll remake it for you though, but she didn't say anything" in a snarky tone, and I thanked her. another coworker asks what happened and she says "They were toasted and she didn't say anything about it being none toasted", and then ask her if she bothered asking my mom and she gave the same reply, "it comes toasted", if online is asks you, why wouldnt you ask in store if you wanted it toasted? Could've been way nicer and informed me appropriately of the mistake, yet kept on making it out to be a huge issue on their end to remake a sandwich with 4 ingredients including the bread, cheese, ham, and lettuce and another measly like 7 item sub. If you make a mistake might not want to come in around that time cause she'll let you know it was all your fault. And this is coming from another worker in this field who knows all to well about rude costumers, hope she can learn that mistakes are common and common...
Read moreMy family enjoys Firehouse Subs, we have since the first location opened in Chattanooga, close to 20 years ago. What we do not enjoy is bad service and incorrect orders. This will likely be our last visit to the Hixson location due to their consistent inability to get an order right. Wrong bread, stale or not toasted, cold meat, missing cheese, enough lettuce to completely fill the basket, no pickle, wrong sandwich, wrong size, and missing sandwiches are what we've experienced in the past few visits.
Today's Order-To-Go failure included: one no 'less bread", one missing cheese, two missing pickles, and three were cold/not toasted. To make things worse - the survey on the back of the receipt is no longer available and there is no other feedback channel other than to call. Calling the Hixson location was pointless as they did not answer the phone.
The Red Bank location answered the call. The manager was attentive, kind, and relatable. He made extremely reasonable efforts to understand and connected me with upper management. Both the Red Bank Manager and the Regional (?) Manager made generous offers to 'make things right' and while I deeply appreciate the sentiment, I would much prefer a consistently...
