Krispy Kreme — Restaurant in Chattanooga

I am a 40 something single woman who has never had a Krispy Kreme 'hot donut', until tonight. How I've never experienced this phenomena prior to tonight is unknown. My friends have hyped it up so much, saying it's the best donut you'll ever have. Well, not true for me unfortunately. I downloaded the app and then proceeded with my nightly chores, feeding dogs, dinner, shower, and then relaxing for a toke after a long work week. Patiently waiting to see when the store nearest me would flash their hot sign, then it happened. I took the towel off my head, slid on some shorts, and ran out the door in my slippers, determined to grasp this ooey, gooey, buttery, deliciousness that I've heard so much about!! I arrived 4 minutes after leaving home, didn't have to wait in the drive thru, as there was no one in front of me. I chose the half dozen hot original donut. It took 1 minute to be served this iconic box. As I pull to the front of the parking lot to head home, I'm reaching over and opening the box to immediately try one. Well, I had taken a couple tokes before I left home so I was struggling slightly with this. Finally, I get it opened and reach in, its been less than 2 minutes, my mouth is watering at the thought of biting into this delectable treat, and I feel it! The ooey, gooey, buttery, deliciousness that I've heard about was lukewarm at best. I continued on home and popped 2 in the microwave just to hopefully create an experience similar to what had been described to me. It was ok, but I'm left wondering, are they supposed to be hotter, and the glaze melty like? I may never know because I'm not sure I'll make an extra trip over there in the future but I'll think about stopping if the sign is flashing hot...

Welcome 🤗 you have arrived at one of American's sweet 🧁 treats location. Need a fund raiser ? They sell like crazy ! They have been serving up doughnuts for years omg. This location is crazy busy at it's peak. I been to several different ones from 🚗 Alabama, Florida, , Knoxville, Nashville, and It's the same treat. I can appreciate their doughnuts , because of the variety of different flavors 🤯. They have relieved a lot of stress . Believe it or not. Say What ? These sugar full doughnuts pump you up 💪. The extra energy you get from the release of the sugar energizes you. It also gets you through a final exam,. It give cops more Police safety 🚓 awareness. Opps ! You get it while cops love doughnuts 😋. For teachers more educated focus. They give extra strength for weightlifting💪. Help assist with posing in body building competition. A lot of them use them especially after fasting. Last , but not least running 🎽 athletes eat them for competition. Not on a regular basis lol. I must warn you they can harm you. Please eat responsible 😜. Same as drinking . Get it ? They also contribute to better moral, in work place relationships .Bring someone a doughnut or a dozen to your job. Watch the magic 😄 appear omg . They will be in a good mood all of a sudden. 😁 Try it today don't delay. They will thank you or you will certainly thank them. I debated whether this was a three or four star location and ultimately went with four because the staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. The pricing was also excellent due to a sale they were running for the holiday weekend. However, the location and atmosphere left much to be desired and one star is probably higher than it should be for the atmosphere rating.

The lobby was closed and the drive thru was the only option available. This isn't necessarily a problem for me, but the issue was that the only way you knew it was closed was a small sign taped to the door which you could only see after you walked to the door. They really need something to indicate the lobby is closed that you can see from your vehicle.

This was especially problematic because as soon as I stepped out of my car and while I was trying to talk with members of my family who were seated in the back seat I was approached by someone begging for money on the store property. It was very disconcerting to have them trying to talk with me while I was trying to talk with my family. While this person did not make me feel unsafe, there were other people in the parking lot when we pulled in that disappeared by the time I parked which made me feel unsafe because of the total number of people present who disappeared quickly. This is all the more reason why they should have a better way to communicate the lobby is closed so you do not have to unnecessarily deal with...
