We must have also been some of the unlucky ones. Our experience was quite poor from end to end. In short, the quality doesn't at all justify the quality. Specifically, the wait time to order food was about 3 minutes so speedy enough. However, the wait time to receive food was extremely long: over 15 minutes. The wait feels even longer than it is because someone wearing a mask is yelling out muffled phrases of what people want for Christmas, and you can never understand what they're saying so maybe it's yours... maybe not. We ordered a biscuit, waffle, and a hash... with a drip coffee and a latte. Breakfast for two at $37 for walk up counter service and bus your own table. Ouch. The biscuit was soggy with too much "pepper jelly" which is actually just a sweet Thai chili sauce on it. Chicken was chewy and tasted like it was being held under a heat lamp. The waffle had a decent flavor but the bacon in it doesn't work out. The bacon is just a chewy chunk of protein that's tough to bite through and doesn't add anything special. The hash had a very nice gravy but was overall a lower quality than what you'd get at a chain diner. Small bits of pepper in clearly precut and frozen potatoes. There's alot of drip coffee choices to choose from so you can find at least one you like, but the latte was weak. All seating surfaces were uncomfortable, hard wood so really helps make sure you don't linger and drink the coffee long. In summary, won't ever bother going to another MSBC location again.

For my friend’s birthday, she wanted to try a new and unique restaurant. We arrived at Maple Street Biscuit Company around 10ish and there was line plus people were already seated and eating which is a good sign! They serve breakfast and lunch. I ordered “The Iron Goat” with chicken which is sautéed spinach with a flaky biscuit and goat cheese. OMG! This sandwich is so delicious and full of flavor! You have to try it! My friend ordered “The Farmer Biscuit”, Potatoes O’ Ryan and Berry Field’s Mimosas which she thoroughly enjoyed! Another friend ordered the “The Sticky Maple” with biscuits, gravy and maple bacon and she really loved the gravy! Their orange juice is fresh squeezed. Don’t sleep on this restaurant! They have some very tasty menu items that will have you coming back for more! FYI, by the time we were seated and eating, there was a very long line of people just waiting to order some food. The restaurant has plenty of seating. Give it a try! Oh, what is your favorite band?

While I’m certain I have never payed more for a biscuit, I must admit it was frankly, the best biscuit I’ve ever had. The Apple Butter on that biscuit was like heroin, not that I’ve ever experienced it, I’m simply stating this from what I’ve heard from the internet and shows on television. The iced coffee I opt’d to get was also quite frankly, the best ice coffee I’ve ever tried. There are two reasons for a 1-star deduction. 1.) The constant yelling of completed orders by staff was not what I had hoped to experience at a breakfast setting. 2.) The Potatoes O’ Ryan was less then impressive for the associated costs. It was cold when we received it and the cheese had not even melted. It was edible, but it wasn’t quite served to expectation. For a company that makes such bold claims to be the best, with supporting prices, I would have expected everything to be literally perfect and it was not.

A simple counter service breakfast restaurant with an open air easy going atmosphere and industrial style seating. Location provides plenty of parking.

Here's my say on what all we ordered:

  1. Pumpkin Waffle - we didn't receive the dried cherries or roasted apples as advertised. Just one waffle and a tiny cup of syrup for $12.75. It had a good taste even though it was a little on the soggy side (read no crispiness to it's outside and some almost undercooked parts in the middle). I would order it again if not for lack of substance for price.
  2. Peppers, onions and cheddar Frittaffle - The cook was heavy handed on the salt. It wasn't inedible for me, as I am ok with saltier foods, but my husband spit out the bite he tried due to the saltiness. I'd go back for this dish, and just ask for lightly salted.
  3. Smashbrowns - kind of like a hash brown and a hush puppy had a baby. They were yummy.
  4. Potatoes O'Ryan bowl - a simple "safe" option. Nothing special. No real seasoning on the potatoes. Hubby said it was like frozen potatoes from Walmart with mix ins. He used the salsa from my Frittaffle to add some flavor.
  5. Biscuit with "B2 jam" - I asked if I could get just a regular biscuit with gravy to try them. (Since it is a "Biscuit Company"...) The biscuit was nothing special at all. No extreme fluffiness or buttery flavor or anything that made it pop. And the B2 jam (that's what she rang up but I wouldn't call it jam and it is definitely not what I would consider standard gravy) was a very strange texture and gloppy and had a spice to it and was not pleasant to myself or my husband. It went mostly untouched.

Summary: while it was an OK meal, it's nothing to rave about or that will make us look forward to going back. But if I did I would be ordering the Frittaffle with...

Inconsistency is killing this once-respected business. We’ve come to this place a few times a year since they opened; it always seemed phenomenal in the beginning. In recent years however, we started experiencing most of the same inconveniences that other 1- or 2-star reviews highlight. During what is perhaps our last time patronizing MSBC, we essentially paid $20 a person to: 1) be told one item would take 45 minutes to cook whilst thereafter witnessing several other patrons receive that exact item in a normal timeframe, 2) receive no notice that our drinks were ready at the counter despite us watching/listening for them (the drinks were also not marked to identify what they were), 3) have no access to silverware/forks but at least have plasticware, 4) observe that several other patrons were equally frustrated at wrong or slow orders, 5) and have varying degrees of quality in the food we received (one person’s chicken was burnt on the outside, one meal was pretty great, and another’s tasted “off”). It makes no sense to pay for a level of quality and service that cannot consistently be deivered upon. I leave this review to hopefully be of some utility to out-of-towners or new patrons to inform them that these conditions are to be expected, and that if you have an exceptional experience, well, you’re very fortunate and are perhaps in the minority. And hopefully it serves as constructive feedback for MSBC that compels them to systematically restore or improve their...
