The customer service at Bonefish Grill reeks. Absolutely - and astoundingly - atrocious.

We ordered online for a pick-up, through Bonefish's website. The order included three Fish & Chips. When we picked it up, the employee made sure to tell us that all they placed all the sauces in our bag. When we got home we found that was not the case: in fact, they had forgotten all of the Tartar sauces. Tartar sauce is a requisite component of Fish & Chips.

We called Bonefish Grill to let them know that they forgot our sauces, and were wondering if we picked up the right order. The person who picked up the phone (whose name was Justin or Jason?, I'll just called him "J") told us that was completely normal and that we had to ask for it to get it. Keep in mind that while "J" told us this, we were looking at the online menu saying the exact opposite. We asked to speak to a manager. "J" then handed the phone to someone who sounded, weirdly, exactly like "J". The Manager "J" then told us the exact same thing: the sauce is only optional, and that there's nothing they could do, and sounded apathetic at best and rude at worst. Double downed on the error.

Bonefish Employee "J" could - and should - have just told us that they forgot it. I could have then gone to pick it up. But instead they doubled down on a terrible and useless lie, and while doing so showed that they could not care less about their service.

We wanted to give Bonefish Grill a try. We know that places a struggling during COVID. Speaking of COVID, you'd think that the restaurant would make customer service for pick-ups priority one, and remember to include key parts of simple dishes. If they did, Bonefish at Gunbarrel employees clearly did not get the memo.

That's okay though. I'll drive downtown or to Ooltewah to places that care about their product and service.

We won't be be back to Bonefish at Gunbarrel, or any other of Bloomin' Brands corporate chains. One time was enough.

They say that when you write an angry letter, you should leave it in the drawer overnight and sit on it before you send it. Sometimes you'll realize that sending the message isn't necessary.

Well, I've been sitting on this review for two weeks, and have decided that I still need to post it. Grotesque service.

I've included a snippet of Bonefish at Gunbarrel's online menu on the Fish & Chips for anyone curious. I've highlighted the Tartar sauce...

So disappointed. My sweet family made a reservation here at my request for Mother’s Day. Unfortunately we ended up walking out and going elsewhere. When my husband made the reservation he had requested outdoor seating when they asked where we would like to sit. Upon arrival the request was ignored and they stuck us inside near the bathrooms. When we asked to change we were told they had to check first and they only moved us over a booth. We are only a family of 4 so we are not a large party. Despite this we were excited and sat to look over the menu. I have a soy allergy which is a common allergy. Upon arrival we informed the waitress and all she said was she didn’t know what I could have. We arrived at opening so there were only a couple other people in the restaurant at that time. She told me to look at the menu and she would find out. After waiting an excessive amount of time our waitress returned and asked if I knew what I wanted. I was completely thrown off thinking she was going to return and let me know my options as most restaurants do. I let her know what I was thinking about and she ran off. Another long wait later she returned to inform me the item contained soy but offered to alternatives. At which point I asked to speak to the chef. We had now been in the restaurant 40 minutes and not ordered any food. At this request she responded with “our chef is too busy”. This was the point where I said okay thank you we will be leaving. As we were grabbing our items the manager arrived and blocked me into the booth so I could not get up. I do not believe that was his intention but it made me incredibly uncomfortable. He continued to say that the waitress had only asked about a singular item making it to seem it was my fault that we had been there for 40 minutes and did not know what I could have from their menu. The manager offered to assist with finding options but at that point we had already been made to feel a large inconvenience and incredibly uncomfortable in the restaurant. Sadly we will not...

I was very dissatisfied on the food and food preparation! We came here to eat, To commemorate on My Father's death. My Fiance always take me out for a "In memory of my Father Dinner! We picked Bonefish for their food and quality. We eaten at the one in Georgia as well as here too. The day was Great except when we got to be seated. First of all table was dirty with crumbs and food from previous guest. Our server was good. When,My fried calamari arrived I ate one piece and spotted Human hairs on the fried calamari batter!! (Gross!)Turned me off immediately!! Then My Fiance ordered her Filet Mignon Well done. When she received it it was Medium Rare bloody!!She couldn't eat it. The Manager did come out to apologize, But by this time the evening was ruined! After all this along with cold food it was a wrap for Us. Then We paid $61.78 for food that wasn't as great as we planned it to be!! I felt we could of went to Dave and Busters and ate!! 😬!(Bad but True!),We ended up having to go to another well established Restaurant to commemorate My Father Transition. We were very dissatisfied and couldn't believe the Manager didn't compensate the tab or offer something beyond taking off the calamari? Shhhh that's the least you could did!!. Who wants to pay for calamari with human hair in it?. By the way another employee mentioned earlier that day another customer had human hair in their food!! (Yuck!!)Most of all with COVD19 and all I figure stronger enforcement of strict kitchen safety and cleaniess would be enforced. I guess not and who pays for it? Us the Consumers! It's Bad business Bonefish in Hamilton Place on Gun Barrel!! It wasn't a good experience at All!!No stars for You guys!! Can you spot the Human hair in My calamari!? Hint,...

We came for my birthday dinner, because it's one of my favorite places to eat. Our server was Makayla (not sure how it is spelled) and she was amazing! Our drinks were brought promptly and the bloody Mary was amazing!! The bread, and appetizers were delicious. We had the bang bang shrimp and the calamari. I had the Chilean sea bass with the sauteed spinach and Jasmine rice. A couple of us had steak and a couple had chicken. All the food came out perfectly cooked and hot! Our drinks stayed filled and our server was so sweet and had a wonderful personality. I was so impressed with our experience I had to tell a manager. I can't remember her name right now if she was also very awesome. I just really wanted to share with a great experience we had since we're in such difficult times now. Bonefish has always been a consistently great experience for me no matter if I eat at Chattanooga, Orlando or Tampa. I wanted to give you guys the credit you deserve. Thank you for making my birthday dinner a wonderfully blessed time.
