FIREBIRDS!
A Culinary Inferno of Perfection: My Ten-Star Firebirds Experience!
Forget five stars – Firebirds Wood Fired Grill deserves a universe of ten, or maybe even a constellation! From the moment you step through the doors, you're enveloped in an ambiance that's both sophisticated and welcoming, with the irresistible aroma of expertly grilled goodness hinting at the magic to come. My recent visit wasn't just a meal; it was an event, a masterclass in culinary excellence and impeccable service that left me utterly awestruck.
The wood-fired cooking at Firebirds isn't just a gimmick; it's the heart and soul of their operation, imparting an incomparable depth of flavor to everything it touches. I opted for the Duroc Pork Chop, and it was nothing short of perfection – tender, juicy, and infused with that smoky kiss that only a true wood fire can deliver. Each bite was a revelation. My dining companion raved about their Chile-Rubbed Delmonico, cooked to an exact medium-rare with a beautiful crust that sealed in all the savory juices. And don't even get me started on the sides! The Parmesan Mashed Potatoes were velvety smooth, and the Asparagus was perfectly crisp-tender. Every single element on the plate was thoughtfully prepared and flawlessly executed. But Firebirds isn't just about the food (though the food could easily carry a ten-star rating on its own). The service was phenomenal. Our server was a true professional – attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about every menu item, and genuinely enthusiastic about making our experience memorable. Drinks were refilled promptly, questions were answered with a smile, and every request was met with efficiency and grace. It felt like they anticipated our needs before we even knew we had them.
The atmosphere contributes immensely to the overall appeal. It’s vibrant yet intimate, with just the right level of buzz. Whether you're there for a special occasion or a casual weeknight dinner, Firebirds strikes that perfect balance. The bar area is lively, and the dining room offers comfortable elegance.
In a world where good restaurants are plentiful, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill transcends "good" and rockets into the stratosphere of "extraordinary." It's a symphony for the senses, a place where every detail is considered and every dish is crafted with passion. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience that goes above and beyond, do yourself a favor and visit Firebirds. You won't just leave satisfied; you'll leave inspired, planning your next...

My wife and I came in for lunch during happy hour. This was our first time coming, and we were not told that happy hour was only available at the bar until our server finally arrived to ask us what we wanted to drink. That was fifteen minutes after we sat down. The restaurant didn't look that busy to us.
Our server did not give us her name. She was rather odd- polite with her words but rude with her actions and body language. Perhaps she was new or nervous, but she laughed at odd moments as if making jokes, but we couldn't figure out what was funny to her. She was pushy with her recommendations. We'd had plenty of time waiting on her for us to decide what we wanted, but she kept trying to push other things on us. We ordered the Kobe Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and the Durango burger with fruit. The meatloaf was very tender but had no taste to it beyond the brown mushroom gravy that covered it. The potatoes, while good, were nothing special; definitely not worth the extra $6 it would've been to order them as a side. The Durango burger was very good. The patty was cooked exactly to order, medium rare. The onion rings were small and added a good crunch. The lettuce and tomato come on the side, though. All in all, the burger was very good, but honestly not spectacular. You could get the same or better at Ruby Tuesday, Texas Roadhouse, or Chili's. The fruit was a 4oz portion cup of mixed fruit; again, not worth the $6 to order it as an extra. The server recommended the brownie with ice cream for our dessert. When she brought it to us, there was an awkward conversation where she asked us if we wanted her to pour the caramel sauce or do it ourselves. We couldn't figure out what the purpose of that was. Do it and give a show, or don't do it and we don't know the difference. The brownie itself was not good. It was far too rich, and it was so gooey that we couldn't even use our forks; we needed spoons, which were not provided. The chocolate sauce was apparently nothing more than a squeeze bottle of Hershey's chocolate you could find on any grocery store shelf.
To conclude, we will not be returning. The food was just not worth the price we paid for it. Perhaps we made poor choices from the menu, or maybe dinner is better than lunch, but overall it was a very poor impression. There are too many good grills in that area alone to waste time and money to give them...
Read moreAs far as the atmosphere the restaurant is nicely decorated but the lighting was very dim. I went during lunch time with my mother and aunt, not a romantic date at all. It should have been brighter lighting for the day time or offered areas to sit in with better lighting. It was too dark for an intimate setting as well but that's my opinion. They had happy hour specials posted at the front door outside. When we got to the table the waiter informed us that we would have to walk over to the bar to get the happy hour price then bring the drinks back to our table. Pretty much fumbling around in the dark with a cocktail in hand. The bar area was lit better but only had the higher tables available which is not good for older adults. So we passed on the cocktails. I ordered the salmon with veggies and added the garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes. The dish was priced well for the amount they served. When they first brought out my food I immediately noticed the salmon was very dry and had very dark char marks from the grill. I lifted it up and the bottom was burned to a crisp, literally jet black burned. No way they should have missed that. The mashed potatoes were very dry as if they were more of a baked potato. The veggies looked hard but were tender. I called the waiter over and showed him the bottom and he put in an order for another plate. He said it would be about 5 minutes but it was a little over 10. The second plate was a lot better. The salmon was glistening with moisture and didn't have the burned char marks on the top and the bottom was not dark at all. It was very flavorful and nowhere near as dry as the first. The mashed potatoeifs were not as dry as the first time but still could have been a lot more creamier. The veggies were a bit more harder than the first plate but were good after adding salt. If they had a kitchen manager they probably could have prevented them from serving that overly burned salmon the first time. They made sure the waiter came back to get it before I could take a picture of it. Hopefully their kitchen is nowhere near as dark as the dining area but maybe that's why they didn't notice how burnt that salmon was. If you are able to I would suggest sitting in the bar area. I will not be returning. It wasn't as good as I...
