I made the mistake of placing a mobile order at this McDonald’s after work last night. I placed my order and pulled up to the drive thru, sat there for 5 minutes and no one ever said anything to me. I decided to change my order to curbside, so I parked in spot 3 and input in on the app. After 15 minutes of waiting a man in a manager uniform comes out and literally screams at me from across the parking lot. I couldn’t hear him because my window was up and he made a b-line back inside. It was very odd and uncomfortable. I sat there for maybe 5 more minutes before getting ticked off. I got back in the drive-thru line just hoping someone would actually answer. When I got back in line, there was a lady in a truck trying to place an order. The guy over the intercom told her to at she can only place online orders and that they are not taking drive thru orders anymore. This was an hour before close and she got pissed and drove off. This happened with numerous cars while I was waiting in my curbside spot. Once I pulled up to the intercom, I sat there for another 5 minutes before someone finally said something. I was greeting with hostility and sass. I told the man that I had been waiting in the curbside spot for 20 minutes waiting on my order. He said “oh you must be Georgia, I tried to yell at you to pull around and you didn’t”, i said “ my window was up, how was I supposed to hear you yelling from across the parking lot?”. His response was “comprende, I’m only one person”, as if he was the only person working in the building. He was not, there were at least two other workers that I saw and one of them was on their phone the whole time. When I finally got my food I had been waiting at this McDonald’s for 25 minutes and my food was ice cold. I was beyond pissed and was extremely confused about everything that had just happened. What an extremely uncomfortable and rude experience. This isn’t the only bad occurrence I’ve had at this location but it definitely was the strangest. I would give them 0 stars if I could, I am truly disgusted at how I was spoken to and yelled at from across a parking lot. Save yourself the time and money and go eat literally...
Read moreEver since covid, this McDonald's is the worst in the area. I understand being understaffed, but they just plain ignore you at this location. If you do interact with them, all you get is attitude from most of the staff. I wish there was a closer McDonald's to this area but unfortunately, there is not.
They have become too reliant on self-order, it seems. When they decide to close the lobby, it doesn't translate to the app, and then they take too long at the drive-through when all you have is a pick-up order. There is no point in using the app at this location.
My experience today it seems they have multiple people doing 1 job of filling orders and no one at the counter. 3 people looked in this direction, and not one person acknowledged anyone standing at the counter. There were 4 of us waiting.
I had an issue with the app and they only walked toward the counter when they called a customer's order. It took her a moment to get up there and in that time the employee walked away. I called for the employee when the customer came up and she didn't hear me. I called her again, and no response. The third time I had to shout, and by her perception, she thought I was yelling at her. I apologized and said I wasn't yelling at her, and twice I told her I had called her 3 times. They helped the lady with her food and once again walked away from the counter.
Having to get the employee's attention again by loudly saying excuse me I have an issue I need help with from the app; they still just looked at me until finally another employee came up and offered assistance. We got the issue resolved and yes the manager that approached gave me my food for free which they didn't have to do.
I wish I could give them great reviews but that is not possible. Whoever works at this McDonald's, whether you like your job or not, common decency is not difficult. If, you don't like customer interactions you are in the wrong work environment.
Thank you to the manager and the young lady that did help. This situation was avoidable if the focus wasn't solely on drive-thru...
Read moreThey don’t acknowledge cars in the drive through even an hour before closing. Pulled in at 10 and website states they close at 11. The gentleman outside completely ignored me when I asked if they were open. Watched 3 young ladies walking around the store laughing it up heading back and forth to the restroom area but none actually working. 7 cars in the drive through behind me and not one person acknowledged by the staff for over 20 minutes, 5 people pulled off ahead of me. There were at least 4 people in the front who were “working” but not working. Thank you for the reminder to meal prep or at the very least leave the gym in time to hit Chick-fil-A if I forget to lay something out. Lesson learned 🤦🏽♀️
Update: This morning I attempted to eat here. I placed an order 2 sausage biscuits sub bacon add cheese, the cashier informed me they have bacon biscuits but after ringing it in she confirmed my way was cheaper. (I ordered it out of town and a lady was nice enough to explain this was cheaper excellent customer service) The cashier changed my order back to the way I ordered it and gave me a total of $7.48 and I agreed to round it up to $8. I pull around to the window and she tells me a higher total so I ask why and she informed me the manager changed it so of course I ask to see the manager, name was Ella. Ella informs me it's basically a bacon biscuit and I let her know I'm aware but it's cheaper the way I ordered it and asked why she made the decision to change it to which she closed the window and spoke to the cashier. Coming back to the window she informs me that it's not possible to do it that way and I inform her it surely is as it just was until she changed it and that if I wanted to simply pay more I would have went to Starbucks. Ella informs me that she can take one off and do it this one time but since they are corporate owned they can't do that. Now I'm sitting here happily sipping my Starbucks after paying $16 to get my meal the way I ordered it and they even threw in a smile and "Have a great...
