CAVA — Restaurant in Chelmsford

Absolutely love the food here! Yes, as other reviews mentioned there is room for improvement. However, the 3 times I been here within the last week, food has been outstanding.

Understanding this place JUST OPENED, of course they’re busy, hectic, and stressed! People complaining about how long it takes to wait for fresh chicken is wild lol. I bet they didn’t expect the opening week to be as busy as they’ve been since they ran out of dips and lids yesterday. So with that being said, just wait it out for them to die down and improve before handing out 1 star reviews like they’re candy….

The first time I came here was Saturday afternoon, yes the place was slammed! The line was super long, place was loud, there was nowhere to sit. Today I ordered online and went through drive thru to pick up. The wait was longer than I expected, but I didn’t have anywhere to be, I was waiting for my laundry at the laundromat anyway. The fact that the guy at the window was super friendly and apologized for the wait, I appreciated that communication.

My food was made how I wanted it, the bowl was very filling, and the experience with the crew was great. I'm from California where CAVA is extremely popular and a place I visit frequently and even find myself recommending to people. However, after my experience tonight I don't think I'd ever find myself telling someone to go try CAVA. I took my friend here for their first time and they also were left so dissatisfied with their whole experience. Its so disappointing to see how the team addressed the situation and simply didn't know how to handle to flow of customers. I completely understand having just opened but at the end of the day to be waiting on an order for over an hour is ridiculous when this is a place that I usually rely on for a quick grab and go meal spot. The dining area was so messy and many tables were left dirty as well as a decent amount of trash on the floor. The food itself was beyond the point of even being able to enjoy it that I found myself tossing my bowl all together after a few bites. The rice was undercooked, the rotten avocado, and the lack of greens in my 'greens&grains' bowl. At the end of the day, this chain is not cheap and so for the quality of food and service I expect a much more enjoyable experience. This visit didn't even meet the...

Probably the worst experience I’ve had getting take out from a place like this, and I’ve been here 3 times so far. I’ve been to other cava locations and haven’t seen this issue.

There will be about 15 people working, but only 1 on the register and 1 making orders for walk in customers. The rest solely focus on online orders.

You will be standing in front of the counter waiting for someone to ask what you want, and multiple workers will walk by you to grab a notecard from the wall to make an online order. They will literally make like 3-4 online orders before even speaking to you, and that’s only to get the grains/meat. You have to wait again to get toppings, and every time I’ve been here I’ve had to wait like 3-5 minutes just for someone to walk over and take payment. This isn’t dependent on how many customers are waiting, I’ve seen it happen when alone in line and also when 10 people are in line. Kind of disrespectful honestly and made me write off this location until they fix their staffing issues

Food is okay, seems comparable to other cava locations. Not sure why people are complaining about portions my bowls...
