This was my first time eating here because a lot of my friends had recommended this place to eat. I came here for lunch with two other friends. The guy who greeted us was super nice and friendly. Before I sat down, I had to use the restroom. The restroom was flooded with water everywhere. So, when i got back to the table our server Ami greeted us. I let her know of the situation and that did not seem to please her when she mentioned with a slight attitude that she was the only female working. After 10-15 minutes, I notice other females complaining about the bathrooms since it was not getting addressed. I mean barely one stall was useable without getting your feet soaked. As we ordered, we had to wait a long time for our food. My friend's roast beef&havarti sandwich with a bowl of tomato basil came out first after 20 minutes of being ordered. Then another 5-10 minutes my other friend's order of multigrain pancake and the million dollar bacon came out. The bacon was burnt so badly that it wasn't edible. While waiting for our food, our server disappeared because we wanted to tell her about the food and wondering where my order was. I saw other people's order coming before mine (even when we came before a party of 10+ and they were getting their food before mine. My food was just the half salad and a cup of soup, while the others had pancakes, eggs, etc. that should take more time to prepare!!) Finally after 15 minutes from the first order being brought out my food came. We let Ami know about the bacon and wanted to let her know if we could get it removed from the tab and she just looked at us, huffed, mumbled and turned around and that was the last time we saw her. We didn't even get an answer or nothing, just attitude.
After having to wait long for my food which was half of the superfood kale salad and cup of tomato bisque, my soup was bland and cold. The salad was delicious. Then, my friends were needing refills and we had to flag someone down to get them refills. Again, Ami was nowhere to be found. We finally saw her when we checked out at the register and told the guy that she was too busy to handle that when my friend brought up the burnt bacon issue.
I understand the wait in the restaurant due to parties and such, but I don't understand our server's attitude the whole time. She did not look like she was ready to work due to her appearance and obviously not in her attitude. All the other servers we saw were attentive, looked ready to work, and friendly. It doesn't help that in your restaurant's review you had the same complaints about Ami.
I would like to try to give this place another chance since the food tasted great (nibbling off of my friends' food), but not having that...
Read moreBefore moving here from Florida I used to go to First Watch in Orlando a couple times a week and always had excellent service and delicious food, AND if there was a problem, then management took care of it quickly!! Here? Well, from the first time I ever went to this location the food here really sucked, however I kept going back because it was convenient for breakfast and the service last year was the only reason I kept going back because the wait staff were excellent!! I finally stopped going when I actually met the area manager and registered a complaint about the manager's ability to manage. Nothing was ever done about it so I stopped dining here. I stopped in Wednesday just out of curiosity to see if anything changed. I walked in late morning and there were only 3 tables with customers and 4 people working. I ordered the Special Breakfast Burrito off the special menu and to my surprise when it finally came out it was exactly as it was supposed to be, unlike on previous occasions here. HOWEVER, the service sucked, Chassen I think his name was or something like that, obviously inexperienced at waiting as I was still waiting for my glass of water when the meal came out and that was delivered by another waitress other than my waiter so I asked her for a glass of water and finally Chassen brings me some water!! So, the recap for all this is: I am not sure if they changed managers or not however the food seems to be better now, but I did not see any familiar face from my previous experiences so maybe that is why the service was terrible, not sure!! I will go back one more time to see if anything changes on the service and hopefully the quality of food stays higher then it was previously...
Read moreThis place was much better when it was The Egg and I. We went in today, right when we sat down, and placed our drink order we were asked what we wanted to order. Usually, you place your drink order, then the server comes back and brings the drinks and you then place your order. The drinks then come out, two of which have tops, and the server did not drop off straws. Then, we place our orders. We requested an extra order of toast, and Tobasco sauce. The food comes out without the extra toast, without Tobasco sauce, and without syrup for pancakes. 2 of the plates come out, and one is still being cooked (restaurants know to serve all food at the same time, this is the restaurant biz 101). The fruit cup comes out with green grapes that were obviously bad at first sight looking more like a cross between a raisin and an olive. Egg and I used to have their jam on the table, well guess what- not only was it not available, but it is not customary for this place to drop off Jam on the table once the food comes out. Needless to say the extra order of toast went uneaten. Did not ask for a mananger, because we were not looking to get anything for free- however- I will surely not be returning to this establishment. Service was bad, quality control was bad, and the restaurant is obviously cutting corners by not providing jam. This place used to have lines out of the door when it was Egg and I, that is no longer the case, and now I know why. New place just opened up in town about a year back, while I will not mention their name, but they will be getting my business...
