I have been to this location two times in the last 2 months. I stopped by after my treatment at my oncologist and I chose the curbside service as I am usually worn out after the doctor. Both visits were not at peak times and there were very few customers. May 13th 2:09pm and May 24th 2:25pm
The first time I waited and waited and waited and then called and called and called with no one answering the phone. I finally went in and asked for my order. No one at the counter, maybe three people sitting at tables. The girl behind the counter seemed to be surprised at my request and found my order on shelves behind her. I told her and the young man that I had been calling and calling and no one was answering. She replied, "Oh we didn't even hear it ringing." It was completely quiet in there. She handed me my order and gave me a complimentary cookie. I chose not to review based on this one visit as people have off days. That being said....
Yesterday was basically exactly the same. I place an order that was supposed to be ready in 11 minutes. After 15 minutes, I start calling. No one answers, voice mail full just like last time. I call over and over. Hardly any customers, just like last time. I called corporate in Atlanta to see if they possibly could call the store, had a different number, etc. Corporate didn't answer and I left a VM with my contact info and briefly stated what the problem was. As it's been over 24 hours, I am not expecting a call back. Disappointing to say the least. I attempt one more time to call and a young man answers. I asked about my curbside order and he seemed surprised and looked and said "Oh ok, give me a few minutes." I ordered a large Fancy Nancy $12.49 and a small Fruity Fran $6.99.
He comes out to the car with the bag, hands it to me and tells me "We're all out of Fancy Nancy soooo". He hands me $7 of my $21 order like I was just supposed to take it. What's MADDENING is that MY PHONE NUMBER WAS ON THE RECEIPT. He could have called from inside the store to ask me if I wanted a substitution or a refund but I was flabbergasted by his nonchalant, "We're out of Fancy Nancy, here ya go". I told him that I would like to just get Classic Carol as a substitution and he seemed surprised by the request! So he walks back in to get it. I'm explaining this in detail because like I stated before, the receipt he just handed me had my cell phone number on it and a call could've saved him a trip. But, again, he acted like I was going to be okay with receiving $7 of a $21 order. Insane.
An order that was supposed to take 11 minutes took 30....and this food didn't even need to be cooked. I called corporate again today, still no answer... left a VM, still no call back. No chicken salad is good enough for this nonsense, especially after cancer treatment.
Oh and the app wouldn't recognize the scan of the receipt for points, not that I'll be back. It seems that their curbside/phone issues have been ongoing for at least a year and they simply just don't care. Read older reviews, I'm apparently not...
Read moreVery disappointed with the service I received at this chicken salad chick. I usually go to the one by the galleria in Hoover but went to this one today to save time since it was on my way.
I placed a pickup order that said it would be ready by 12:33pm, which was great. Got to the store at 12:32, walked in and said I have a pickup order and gave my name. They only then started working on my order. My order took 20 minutes to make, it had two sandwich’s, a scoop, and three sides. I usually get this similar order at my regular location and it never takes more than ten minutes even when they are slammed.
I placed a pickup order because I was in a time crunch, this restaurant made me 20 minutes late to have lunch with my husband, we didn’t get to have lunch together as he had to scarf his food down and go back to work. His order included a side of Mac and cheese which was brown and looked like it had been simmering in a pot since the night before. I have worked fast casual food and I have never seen Mac and cheese look like it did unless it was left in the warmer for far too long past safety standards. His sandwich was also thrown together to where he had to redo his own sandwich, bread, bacon, chicken salad was everywhere in the to go box. My other sandwich, for my MIL who was joining me, I had requested no cheese on the crossiant sandwich. Guess what? No lettuce, no tomato, but there sure was cheese on her sandwich!
To add, other people were ordering eat in as I was waiting for my order, and they were served their food way before I was. I don’t understand how that is possible since I ordered 20 minutes ahead of them, but then again they didn’t even start to make my food until I arrived, defeating the whole purpose of an online order.
I ordered two 32oz drinks with my order, it was clearly on my receipt taped to my to go bag. When I asked the cashier for my drink cups she looked at my receipt on my bag, I pointed out to her where the drinks were since she was having trouble. She then tried to look it up in their system, saying she doesn’t see where the drinks on the receipt were, making me feel like I was being accused of trying to “steal” two large fountain drinks after I had already bought three meals.
Everyone seemed confused and did not want to work there. I will not be coming back to this location. I love chicken salad chick but this was one of the worst food experiences I have had in...
Read moreHonestly never had a bad customer service experience here, it’s just that the food itself is genuinely really bad. The pimento sandwich tastes like you’re eating giant chunks of pimento straight from the bucket, except squished into a sandwich. It’s not a light gentle touch of pimento it’s this overwhelming unbearable chunky taste. I tried their salad on a different occasion hoping I’d have a better experience and it was just as disgusting. They don’t put anything good (I.e. croutons, onions, cheese, etc) on their salads, just the basics making it very bland. The aesthetic of the whole restaurant is very throw-up colored and looks like an old lady’s house. I’ve noticed a lot of the customers tend to be old too...just not my place! But never bad customer service,...
