This past Saturday me and my friends had the pleasure of trying Vocelli Pizza in Greystone! Originally we had no plans to come here. We called one pizza place to make reservations and there website wouldn't allow us and they wouldn't answer the phone. We even left messages and they never called back. We went to that place in person to be told a 2 hour wait so we passed. Called 2 more places and both were 2 hour waits. Last on the list was Vocelli. Guy on the phone goes nobody is in here so you guys can come right in. I said cool 9 people are on the way.
We get there place is empty. For some that's a red flag for others we may have just found a hidden gem. My one issue we all noticed was these guys were very aware we were on our way and every table was dirty and had not been wiped down and we had to wipe them down ourselves. Anyways we get ready to order and I asked the guy about this place and he tells me that they are mostly carry out and not really a dine in place, with me thinking that well this place should be spotless but hey we here.
It's 9 of us and only 3 of them in the kitchen working so we were all very patient waiting on our food we all just bombarded them with. Our orders consisted of wings, cheese bread, multiple types of pizza, and cinnamon rolls.
The pizza was phenomenal like for delivery pizza this was up there and could hang with the best of them. Dough was fresh and ingredients in general tasted fresh. This was really really good and when I talked to everybody there with me we could all agree this pizza gets a solid 8.2/10!
Wings tasted like Domino's wings not bad but not great either. They were okay. 5/10
Cheese bread was really good really cheesy and seemed to have garlic butter on it. Would get again! 7.9/10
The cinnamon rolls were amazing! Fresh baked and covered in their delicious icing! Super soft and super good. 9/10
All in all this place was very good and if I am ever in this area again I will be getting pizza from them again guaranteed. Cleanliness: 6/10 Customer Service: 8.5/10 Food: 9/10
I found it weird on a Saturday this place wasn't busy and it should be. I hope these guys find their audience because yall should definitely...
Read more---VERY LONG REVIEW.---I will be fair by stating the food was good. I ordered 2 Diablo pastas, vocelli rolls and 2 side Caesar's. The gentleman behind the counter (Didn't get name but he was tall, Caucasian male with glasses and dark short kept hair) recommended the regular Caesar as it was "big enough to split" I agreed. I forgot my credit card at home so I had to leave to get it. He said he understood but would start on the order. When I returned approx 15minutes later he said he apologized but he had a phone call. I just said ok. A few moments later he asked if I had payed. I said yes. He said oh ok... I will start on your order just that catering order came in. (Why would you make it seem like the other order was of more significance?). The vocelli rolls came out. They were awesome. He stated when walking away the salads would be out in just a sec he was just waiting on the chicken to come out. I stopped him and inquired why is there going to be chicken on a side salad. He said well you ordered the chicken Caesar. I stated that i only wanted a regular Caesar. He stated that even if I got a regular caesar the price would be the same. (Why can't you make a regular Caesar if you can make one with chicken?) He walked away and had a conversation in the back with the other workers loudly. He seemingly "replayed" the scenario with the other gentleman and they both discussed it as though it didn't make sense. While eating the food (which was good) a gentleman pulled up and ran in to help him. He didn't wash his hands nor did the gentleman behind the counter during the entire interaction. I am about to leave at the moment but I'd like to add the gentleman behind the counter or anyone else working here has not stopped by again to check or clear plates. No quality check. No guest satisfaction check. Will not recommend. Great food spoiled by poor...
Read moreI’ll start off by saying our food has been okay and what one would expect from a delivery pizza restaurant. However, both times we have ordered via telephone, we have had items left off the order. The first time we ordered marinara for our Vocelli bites and we were told upon delivery that they were out of marinara and we were given ranch instead. That was fine except there was no ranch included either. The second time we ordered the wings which tasted great but again we had no dipping sauce after specifically requesting it. This last time, we called and were placed on hold for 10 minutes. Not a big deal but we figured we might just hang up and try again in a moment. The second time we were on hold for almost 30 minutes. We called on a separate line and the call was answered immediately with no request to hold. I explained that we had been on hold for now almost 40 minutes and the gentleman who answered simply said they were very busy. I told him I understood but that was quite a while to wait. He simply answered with “well what can I do for you” and I told him never mind and we would just order from somewhere else. He said okay and hung up. Not sure why a restaurant that offers delivery would have customers on hold for that long. I’m very...
