Driving back home to Madison Wisconsin after a short visit to Detroit to see family and an ill mother-in-law I typically do not visit Starbucks my wife is a Dunkin' donuts woman but this location was quickly accessible off of the interstate and was brand new we pulled into the lot because of seeing the building was brand new expecting a new facility and we primarily needed to use the restroom however after coming out of the restroom I went to the counter and went to hit on an ordered a large venti 10 sweeteners and two shots of espresso which was awesome The counter help from the moment we Hit the door will smiles and greetings of welcome to Starbucks and we again proceeded right to the restroom but when I went to the counter they were so friendly and so nice I wanted to let them know something so I asked for the manager the shift manager came up and said our district manager is sitting right there I guess she thought it was about to be a bad situation when actually she was totally wrong I went over and introduced myself to the district manager who was in a meeting I said pardon me for interrupting you all and she said no problem how can I assist and I went on to explain to her about us not being typically Starbucks people Dunkin' donuts more than likely for coffee but what we were so impressed with was the atmosphere in that location the cleansiness of the restroom blew me away it was to some degree high-tech and hot blower to dry your hands off stopped with everything you would need tissue soap but like I said very very clean to the point where me being in the customer service business for 37 years I pay attention to everything how I'm greeted if the staff is properly dressed if the facility smells clean looks clean and most importantly we check restrooms before we order anything and in this case this location exceeded my expectation they didn't just meet it they exceeded it and I wanted them to know face-to-face and luckily a big boss was in the house that had just moved up from Florida and we were wearing all of our Detroit Lions gear so a good conversation got started cuz she now lives in Detroit I believe she said or at least the same in Michigan she was blonde very very cute and very very nice did I say very very cute good Lord she was cute then I say very very cute again good Lord she was very very cute okay back to the story great job Starbucks great job to this location and the general manager I surely hope you see this and give kudos to everyone involved for keeping a intact clean location and a staff that was on top of it I thank you thank you thank you this experience makes me want to visit another Starbucks I just got a problem with your union issues but again thank you all and to that very very very very very very very very very very very very very cute district manager in all CAPS BEAUTIFUL WOMAN 👠, Great job gang...
Read moreIt’s official Starbucks is the absolute rock bottom coffee chain in the USA. I thought I’d again give SB one more chance cuz it’s a new location so maybe they’ll try a bit harder to do things right. Nope nope nope I was sorely mistaken. This is alphabet people hipster paradise where they just don’t give a rat’s posterior about customer service. First of all I fail to understand why is it so hard for Starbucks to keep decaf coffee brewed on hand? Anytime you order a decaf these starbuckers have a conniption and start talking about americano and Italiano and pour overs and bend overs and that it’ll take ten minutes yada yada. Like just give me a bloody decaf for crying out loud you overgrown entitles Twitter activist babies!!! Anyway I sucked it up and ordered my coffee here clearly asking to be served with cream but guess what? After all the pour over shenanigans they filled the cup to the brim with scalding hot coffee leaving no room for cream.
Ok, no problems. So when i saw that I asked hey can you please add some cream to it? Answer is “no sir now that you took the cup from me in your hands I cannot do anything to it” (but while you’e questioning your life’s decisions that brought you to this point in your life let me ask you to add a tip % on this greasy pin pad).
The customer service was garbage, their give a sheet factor is rock bottom at this store just like at every Starbucks and their food was boring and subpar. I should’ve stuck with beautiful Zouzous cafe or with Dunks across the road. Why did I even bother? Lesson learnt, never coming to this hipsters paradise again. Maybe if they paid more attention to the customer and less to their fluorescent green hair color and misplaced angst they’d be a better coffee shop. But yeah that ship has officially said for Starbucks for...
Read moreStopping at this Starbucks just reinforces why I prefer to support local coffee shops whenever I can. My daughter and her friend were owed a treat, and I had a few dollars on a gift card, so decided to stop here. 3 of us walked in, and knowing what they wanted, we went right up to order, the only ones in line. It was probably 3-4 minutes before 1 of the 3 employees even recognized we were there. They seemed to be busy working the drive thru and some online/app orders, but a simple "hello" or "welcome" doesn't take much effort and would have been nice. When we were helped, it was very much a business transaction without a lot of personality included. We waited a few minutes, our drinks were placed on the counter as something was said very quietly with no eye contact, we checked the sticker on the cups to verify it was indeed our order, and we walked out about $12 lighter. I've had very similar experiences at other Starbucks. I highly doubt it's something that's trained into their employees...rather the nature of the people that they hire. I will continue to support local shops where the beverages AND the service are...
