Bobby Chez Famous Crabcakes — Restaurant in Cherry Hill Township

Very unprofessional. Don't no how they run a business. Food is very good. But they need to know how to treat their customers. I went week ahead of time to place catering order over 100.00. Wanted to run in and out day of party. I wanted to pay day i ordered and they would not let me. I also called and confirmed friday before. I arrived to pick up food and nothing was ready. Waited half hour. I ordered ahead time so i would not have to wait. I was in a rush. I was furious so i cancelled half order. Girls were very polite had no problem with them. I left got home and got a call from the manager. Here i am thinking he is calling to apologize but he was mad i cancelled half the order. Said he cut the salmon way i wanted. HOW ORDER WASNT READY! he also said he screamed at the girls for letting me leave without order. That is just TERRIBLE. A Very unprofessional manager. They should cater to their customers. Not as good as we were expecting for the cost of the meal, the food was very average for what amounted to a roughly $85 check. Six crab cakes and some mac and cheese to be shared by three people, both of which were very middle of the road for those prices and did not blow any of us away. The crab cakes desperately needed a kick of some kind like either a dash of old bay seasoning or just a mixture of robust yet subdued spices to lift the flavor a bit more. The mac and cheese needed a bit of help, too; it just had an odd flavor profile that didn't really go well with the crab cakes. If you have noticed a difference in the quality or portions and the increase in price it is because Bobby Chez has been sold. The new owners are probably hoping you continue to patronize the stores but their input is not a welcome attribute a what we considered our selves as a loyal Bobby Chez take out family. The friendly and loyal staff is gone and so is the quality. It’s a shame that the King is Crab Cakes has retired but our family has seen a difference in the new ownership and am not pleased.
