Toscana in Marlton There’s a ton of Italian places in SJ and they’re all good and worth trying, but some places got that extra oomph. This was the place, went for dinner with wife. Starter was bread, very fresh, it was good, too good, we had to ask for extra. For appetizer, we had the cheese board, it was very good and worth the money for sure except for grapes, although cold they were sour and had seeds, who wants to pick those on a date? Even with that, I’d order it again, cheeses were delicious and the spread was tasty as well. My wife had Homemade Pear & Ricotta Stuffed Pasta, which she really liked, the sauce especially. I had Rioja filet mignon on special and it was outstanding. I wasn’t asked for temperature preference on my steak which striked me odd. It is grilled, and when the server came back later on i asked her about it and she was like „ohh you want medium?” I didn’t mind medium but because of the cook on grill I was afraid of them over cooking it and asked for medium rare. Turns out the chefs know exactly what they’re doing and it came out to perfect medium rare. The rice was amazing as well. We topped it off with the banana pudding which was delicious. Overall very happy to have such a good place so close. The server was very attentive although she never asked us if everything was okay with the food. I absolutely recommend this place and will be back again. Complements to the Chefs again.

Toscana - Cherry Hill, NJ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh my goodness, I was so surprised by how great this restaurant was. I’m from this town and I can’t believe I haven’t come here before to enjoy this food. I honestly thought it would just be like any other Italian restaurant - but it was NOT!! Food Ordered: Mushrooms Campagna, Champagne Pear Sachetti, Chicken Toscana Drinks Ordered: White Peach Sangria My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and we had a great time! The bread basket was fantastic (the butter was very good). The sangria was great - sweet but not too sweet, not too dry. The mushroom sausage appetizer was unique & tasty. My sachetti pasta dish was actually to die for. It was sweet and creamy. I’ve never had anything like it - it’s fantastic. My boyfriend’s chicken toscana was a pleasant surprise as well - I wasn’t expecting it to be great, but wow it was great! It was super flavorful. The sundried tomatoes and artichokes upped the dish to another level. The sauce was light but creamy. We both devoured our entire plates. I need to bring my family here asap!! I also can’t wait to come back in warmer weather and sit in their cute outdoor area. The whole restaurant is nicely lit and very cute. Perfect for a date night or a family outing. Went on 1/24/2024

We visited this restaurant multiple times in the past and love it. This was our first time sitting outside and we were so impressed! We sat in the covered courtyard that overlooks a waterfall that flows into a large koi pond. The pond is surrounded by beautiful trees, plants, bushes and flowers which is simply breathtaking. Our table was adorned with fresh flowers, which gave it a touch of elegance. A fresh basket of warm bread and herb infused olive oil is provided at each table as you are seated. I order the herb crusted tilapia, which was served with asparagus and a round risotto cake. The tilapia was delicious and cooked to perfection. The risotto cake had and nice crust on the outside and was delightfully creamy and delectable on the inside. I really could have eaten two or three of them since they were that good! I hope they will be added to Primi menu at some point. We also had their Caesar salad which was served chilled and it was amazing. Whether you are going out with friends or on a date night with your significant other, this needs to be you go to spot. We plan to visit again soon before the weather breaks and it is too cold to sit outside. I hear that they decorate very nicely around the holidays as well!

I went there yesterday (10/30/16) with my wife and daughter because it was a beautiful day as we wanted to sit outside and eat. This was our first visit and from the reviews that we saw from various sources it looked like a good place to eat. We arrived and asked to be seated outside. We were lead outside to a table which wasn't set (this was fine with us as it was outside). We asked for a high chair for the baby. I saw someone I knew dining behind us so we spoke with them for a good 7 minutes. After speaking, we realized that the table still has not been set and a high chair still was not brought out. The table was finally set and we had to remind the staff once again to bring out a high chair. Our server came to the table and looked like he was interested in doing something else. We ordered our appetizers and not our meal (we weren't sure what we wanted). Our soda's came and then our appetizers came. Soon after the appetizers came, we finally decided on what we wanted. We waited about 10 minutes for the server to come back (which he didn't) and we had to ask another server to tell ours that we were ready to order. He finally returned, answered our questions regarding our meals and went about his way. The meals came (and they were pretty good). However, the biggest issue (hence the 1 star) came when we were wrapping up our meal. The server came to the table and asked if there is anything else we would like. My wife mentioned that we would have to leave soon and would like the bill so we could pay. He had no problem with this and went on his way. He came outside a few more times to deal with other tables but didn't have the bill in hand. Minutes later, he came back, and handed me the bill. We asked him to please put my daughters soup in a container so she could eat it later (looked like she enjoyed it). He took the soup and walked off. I did some math, looked like everything was correct. I took out my credit card and placed it in the folder (is that what they are called?) and waited. Overhead you could see a storm coming in our direction. So I waited patiently hoping that the transaction could be completed before it starts to rain and then I would have to walk a 1 year old to the car in the pouring rain. 5 minutes went by. 10 minutes when by. I felt a drop of rain. 5 more minutes it began to rain. My wife and I then scooped up the baby and grabbed plates of the food we were waiting for boxes and went inside to the lobby. Funny enough, we saw our server with another table taking care of their needs (which was fine) while we were standing in the lobby to be rung out. The young lady at the counter was nice and grabbed boxes and a bag for us but we still needed the server to ring up our bill. Again after waiting minutes for him to come and ring us up, we finally left in the pouring rain. He also came out with my daughters soup. I just want to note that she wont be eating it because I have NO idea where it was left in the time it was taken away and given back (seemed like a 15 minute gap) While the food was good and we enjoyed the restaurant itself, we will have to think long and hard about the treatment we received. We felt like we were forgotten and had to seriously wait to...

Very horrible experience I would give zero stars if possible. I apologize for the wall of text in advance. Did a reservation for my girlfriend's birthday with a group of friends thinking this was a high end establishment where we would be treated with respect and great service especially on a birthday. Was recommended here by a few people but it appears they may have been here prior to the new management. From the reviews I just read this checks out. The only thing good was our waiter for the evening whom was very down to Earth and did his best to accommodate us all the while arguing with management himself on the sideline. I wish I could remember his name. It appears we were discriminated against being that our group was primarily of younger individuals. The establishment went out of their way to explicitly remind of how expensive everything is as if they assumed we were not able to afford to dine here. Mind you we spent around $900 that evening. Several of our orders were not correct and had to be sent back to kitchen. A few of my friends ordered sodas that were flat which under normal circumstances would be fine as machines do breakdown but the establishment was very rude and condescending towards us for bringing it to their attention almost as if placing the blame on us for ordering even though we were not advised until after the drinks came out the machines were not working that day. I ordered the swordfish and my meal came out with a literal live beetle on my plate. Thankfully our waiter was in good spirits about it but management was wierd. My friends had the lobster risotto and it was not great either. Came out as a sloppy pile of mush that was slapped together with little to no care. I have to say the appetizers were really good but cannot say the same about their main courses from my experience. At the end the cake I brought from a local popular bakery was rushed out and just plopped onto our table without clearing of the dinner plates. I understand some places may not be too happy when you bring your own cakes opposed to ordering their deserts but I was charged around $4 per person extra just to even bring my cake in on top of the cost of the cake. To put into perspective there were 12 of us total and the cake was around $50 before the $4 charge per person. To rub it all in we were not even provided with extra silverware or plates for the cake. I had to go out of my way to have them bring us some. Seriously charged us $4 extra per person and did not even cut the cakes for us or provided us ways to enjoy it. Much more happened but this should be enough to paint a picture as to why my girlfriend and I shall not be returning nor my 10 friends. I surely hope no one else has this same experience I should have read the reviews...

Had the worst set of experiences here last night. We have been going to this place for more than 10 years. Been there dozens and dozens of times. It’s one of our favorite “go to” sort of special get away kind of place. Well many things have changed. To begin, our sever “Robert” was absolutely the worst. Every nightmare you may have about a server was owned by him. Think of Spicolli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High coupled with Rambo. Zero common sense and just terrible at his job. There was also a nerdy kid about 17 with glasses going table to table picking up used dishes. Another brain trust. Belched as he came to our table, grabbed my wife’s plate without asking if she was done and then went back and forth with her about her knife. Common sense dumb@@@ get another knife. This was an epic failure on every level. The food was different also. There is one dish in particular that I get each time we go there. Firey Chicken. I have had the dish dozens and dozens of times. Last night it was horrible and very different. Large slices of uncooked garlic and two pieces of uncooked chicken. The sauce was nowhere near what it usually is. Big thumbs down. My wife has had Chicken Malanese here a bunch of times. It’s not on the menu but they have had veal malanese. All you have to do is ask the server to ask the chef and it’s no big deal. They make chicken parm so it’s just taking the fried chicken cutlet and basically putting it on top of salad with some olive oil and some parm cheese. Probably one of the easiest dishes to make. When she asked Spicolli-Rambo to ask the chef to make it…instead of saying “let me go check”(as if service to a paying customer might matter…imagine that) he blurts out “no it’s not on our menu.” I said why can’t you ask… he looked at me and said no. I asked why and he with disgust and anger looked at me and said “because it’s not on our menu.” That dude needs to go. There are servers there who are absolute rockstars. Robert does not belong in the industry. There were so many more unusual and dumb exchanges with him and burp boy but you get the point. So we are leaving and I see the owner. I stop to share that our experience was WAY sub par and that the quality of the talent we dealt with was really really bad. He really did not want to hear the feedback and gave me the bums rush. He said “next time I’ll give you a different server.” That’s why the problems exist. The answer is training. The answer is showing the difference between quality and stupidity. He chose not to listen. Maybe after his regulars stop showing up and he can’t pay the bills he will ask Robert and burp boy to save him? The excuse of “we can’t find people” is getting old. Train the ones you have. Twenty...
