Edit: The following situation did happen, but I’ve since messaged the place and management apologized and said they had told the dog owner the dog was no longer welcome. I’m amending my previous review of one star to three in hope I’ll have a better experience the next time I decide to enjoy a beer at Forgotten Boardwalk.
So let me start by I love the beer, atmosphere and staff here and until today I had never had a bad experience here. Now the times I’ve been here I’ve always seen families with kids, which is why I didn’t think anything of bringing my newborn now that I had a kid recently. Well there was a very large white dog who was lunging and aggressively barking at children, even when the kids were not approaching it. The kids had to be about 2 &3. No one did anything or said anything to the owner of this dog, who at times looked like she was struggling with controlling her dog. I was honestly afraid this dog was going to notice I had a child with me, even though my kid was being quiet. When my spouse told them we felt uncomfortable with the dog being there because it was lunging at children, no one did anything. We honestly won’t be coming back because they allow aggressive dogs and refused to ask...
Read moreNice place to bring your family or some friends to enjoy a nice brew or two. The decor is that of a shore town boardwalk — a Carousel horse, skeeball, funny mirrors, those fortune telling machines you always see and if you dare, hope you get a good fortune from. We did the flights. $16 for four beers of your choosing. I did 1) Shore Shiver - Hazy IPA - 6.9% - nice IPA taste. On the mellow side but very enjoyable. 2) Corporate Carrier Pigeon - Hazy IPA - 6.2% - a bolder IPA - my personal favorite. I bought four pack to enjoy at home for $16. 3) Seen Missing - Crisp IPA - 4.5% - Nice Flavor. Enjoyable. 4)Scrooge McCat - Holiday Shandy - 3.5% - although I loved the name, it was my least favorite of the four samplers. Definitely had holiday spices but reminded me of ultra sweet cough medicine. Would not order this one again. The other 3 most definitely. Crowds kept to themselves so definitely come with someone to keep you company. Inside and outside seating. We had a nice table along the wall so we could enjoy our beverages and...
Read moreThe server was very nice quick and attentive. When. I had questions about the beer she was knowledgeable about the different options on tap. The beer itself was very good I tried quite a few of the options and they were all very good.
My only complaint was about the payment and the products received. I had ordered a few glasses a bag and a crowler. One of the glasses that I ordered was not there which wouldn't be a big deal but when I received my bags I had two glasses but one was the wrong one. I brought it back up and asked if I was charged for it as I hadn't ordered it but had declined the receipt. I was told I hadn't been charged which I was okay with. When I did the math later I looks like I was charged for that second glass. I also ordered a crowler the problem with that being it must not have been sealed correctly when I went to drink it the next day it the can was malleable and the beer was completely flat. So I would suggest carefully looking over the receipt and making sure your crowlers are...
