Mama Ha's Eatery — Restaurant in Cherry Hill Township

Small Vietnamese eatery in the back of the supermarket. I am not from the area and stopped into the supermarket. I also got hungry and the lady was putting a couple of lunch plates out. I decided to grab the pork chop over rice plate. Best decision ever. It was THE best Vietnamese pork chop over rice I’ve ever had. It was so deliciously seasoned with a hint of spicy. Very well seasoned and cooked with love. The (fish?) sauce they usually give to pour over was thicker than what I’m used to but wow, best one I’ve had. I would absolutely have another plate from them. I also tried their pyramid cake in the (banana?) leaves with mushroom and pork right by the register. It wasn’t my favorite and I don’t think I would have it again. It slightly reminded me of a Cantonese dish called “tay”. Mama ha’s has great Vietnamese dishes for decent prices! We hope they keep up with the quality and freshness. One thing to note is that there was a gentleman that was very rude when speaking to us. My friend ordered a bahn coun and I wanted to let him know ahead of time that I would be ordering one separate, too. That way hey could tell the chef to make two orders at once. He told me to wait (no please) until it was my turn and said that’s just how they keep the orders in line. I was just trying to save them the hassle of making the rice rolls separate (which is more work). Even so, he should have been nicer and just have said “ok, just let the cashier know and we’ll make sure to get that in, too” Everyone is so nice and...

Quick, easy, cheap eats. I usually grab these to go but this time ate here. There’s chairs and tables set up inside the supermarket if you decide to eat here. Food is always good and fresh. If you don’t want to grab one of the premade containers you can also order at the counter and they’ll make it fresh. Very convenient when you need to grab something quick after grocery shopping.
