Nice asian style bread/buns that you don't see around except maybe in chinatown.
Haven't been there not in quarantine, but as of now, there is no seating area, and you just pick what goods you would like from behind the glass counter. The entire counter has plastic drapped from ceiling to counter top so the only passageway is through the box/entrance thing they made on the counter.. They package your purchase and hand it to your through that little open-backed box/passage. They have a credit card reader on a small table in front of the counter with a bottle of hand sanitizer for you to use after swiping your card.
All goods are packaged behind the counter (except prepacked candy/roll cake) so there's no fear of other customers rummaging through the baked goods.
The buns seem to change a little bit everyday, but I think it's just because I go later in the day, and they just run out of stuff. They also seem to have more stuff than what's on the website/slightly different. The blueberry cream cheese pastry I got was more like obanyaki instead of a danish looking thing.
I really like the croque monsier. The website shows it sliced in half, but it's a full on two slices of bread topped with cheese, with cheese and ham(?) in it. The kimchi croquette wasn't that spicy. It also had cheese and a tomato-y flavor so it reminded me of pizza.
I'm not sure if they sell full-on light meals still, the menu is on the backwall behind the plastic drapery so it's hard to read.
There's a pokestop (for Pokemon go) accessible here.
I just wish they also...
Read moreWe have been going to this Korean bakery numerous times over the last three years. Unfortunately, the quality has been declining. They don’t have as many products as before, and they seem to sell items that are not fresh. For example, their rice donuts and croquettes are often so stale that they’re almost inedible.
In addition, their cake selection has become too limited compared to other stores. They used to have a large variety of cakes, similar to other competitors such as Paris Baguette in Philadelphia.
Their cake quality is also inconsistent. For example, I recently ordered their sweet potato cake (which had to be ordered two weeks in advance), and I was disappointed. The cake was so soggy that it felt more like a lump of sweet potato mousse than a cake (see photo). They used to make quite a nice sweet potato cake. I really don’t know what happened to this bakery.
It is a pity that this is the only Korean bakery franchise in the Cherry Hill area. As a Korean native, it is really sad to see this store going downhill. Their quality and variety are becoming less and less like genuine Korean Tous les Jours stores as...
Read moreonly for the poor business management. business hours were stated as opening at 9am, upon arriving they had no food out. your business hours should be reflected as to when customers can arrive and purchase food. was told the pastries would be available at 11am. i think it is fairly standard practice that when you list your opening time, it is expected that you should have most of the items available for purchase. you might as well state that you're open 24hrs, but that your food is only available at 11am. please update your times on google. made a special trip to come to this location, unfortunately wont be returning because of this type of practice, despite the pictures of the food looking good. so if you're driving from more than 20 minutes away, dont come here in the first few hours of their stated opening time because they wont have anything ready!
*Updated to 3 stars since finally was able to try the food/pastries. Actually really good. Friendly staff. Keeping the review up though to let people know...
