Trappixx Jamaican Restaurant — Restaurant in Cherry Hill Township

I haven't had Jamaican food in awhile so ive been craving. I saw this restaurant on the door dash app so I wanted to try it out.

First time I made an order, I ordered $50+ worth of food for my cousin, her kids and I. They called and said they only had 2 items available out of the 4 or 5 items I placed. So I told them to cancel my order. Besides, I felt bad cause I didn't know they close at early on weekdays. I place an order close to closing time.

Today I figured I'd try again so I place an order for mac and cheese, brown chicken stew platter and beef patties. I received a call from them saying they ran out of the stew so I kindly ask for curry chicken. After hanging up the phone I was like damnn, they always running out of something. Their food better be hella good or something.

I decided to go check the reviews. I see I wasnt the only one having this problem with the ordering and not having the item available. As I was reading more reviews I got nervous.

Got my food and first thing I opened up was the Mac and cheese which was good and so is the beef patty. Then I tried the curry chicken, rice and cabbage and I was sooo happy! Nothing was dry! Everything had soooo much flavor!!! It was perrrrfect! My stomach is happy! Lol. I have no idea what people are saying or maybe i just got lucky but I'm very happy with my order and will order again. Food, service, ambiance...all GREAT!!! Placed a take-out order, which was easy to place and the lady on the phone was very nice, professional and courteous when she took my order. Drove there, and although it's located in a strip mall, parking was great and they had cute little tables set up outside the restaurant also. The inside decor and restaurant overall is nice, without being tacky or over exaggerated...just enough "island chic". The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I ordered the oxtails, rice&peas, cabbage and jerk chicken wings for the appetizer. Everything was cooked to perfection (I'm of Jamaican and Cuban descent, so trust me....my palate is very particular when it comes to island food LOL)!!!! Everything was seasoned just right, again, not overly done, not salty or bland (in my opinion). They take all major credit cards, which is a PLUS, also! You have to try this place at least once if you are in the area! I would definitely recommend and go back at least once a month. The portions are VERY LARGE, for the price...so you will have to bring your appetite, or at the least save half for a second meal! Truly appreciate the extra care in packaging the containers, by wrapping them securely in plastic wrap so the gravy/sauce did't run out and ruin the interior of my car!!! Again, very impressed!!!! I believe I have left a very positive review of this restaurant in the past, in regards to the food. Unfortunately, I have to leave this very poor review in regards to the service. We placed an order through GrubHub this evening, and nearly 2 hours later we still haven’t received our food. The GrubHub driver, who was extremely polite and helpful, called us and advised that the restaurant told her that they were out of most of the items that we ordered except for 1 patty and 1 order of macaroni & cheese. We let her know that we want to cancel the order, and she said ok and apologized. While we were on the phone with the driver, the restaurant called. My girlfriend called them back and the person tried to tell her that they’ve been trying to call to let her know that they were out of most of the items on our order. I have been sitting here with my girlfriend for the past hour and 45 mins and her phone rang once and she got a few texts, but none of those communications we’re from Trappixx. My message to the restaurant: If you’re out of food, alert GrubHub so they can update it on the menu. In addition, please don’t wait almost 2 hours after an order is placed to then advise me of attempts to contact me that we’re never made.
