Benash Liquor Store — Local services in Cherry Hill Township

Hands down Benash is the best liquor store I've ever been to. it looks unassuming from the outside, but you have not idea what's in store for you when you walk through those doors. The giant liquor stores that offer the best prices usually don't actually have a very good selection of hard to find items, and the well curated smaller places tend to be overpriced, but Benash has both an amazingly curated selection and really good prices. If you are a spirits or cocktail nerd, this place is a must visit. Seriously, it's worth a trip. I'm a rum drinker, and they have a huge selection of bottles, many of which are really difficult to find. I'm not as much of a whiskey guy, but that selection also seems to be unparalleled. They also buy unique barrels and bottle them themselves for stuff that is very cool. You might not think of a liquor store like this for beer, but (surprise) there is a sizeable, and (surprise again), very well curated beer selection. Great wine too, with a pretty big oxidized and fortified selection. And if somehow they don't' have what you are looking for in stock, they are very quick to try to order it or help you find it. What also makes Benash so great is that the staff and Rich are all very nice and helpful. They also do tastings and classes...there's just a lot going on here. This is not your ordinary liquor store. Going there was an experience! I’m a new bourbon drinker/ collector and my husband sometimes stops at different stores to pick up new bottles. He met the owner and learned so much, he brought me by a few days later. The owner was there again and let me tell you, I learned a lot! We were there over an hour and after tasting a few samples, walked out with 3 more bottles and even more appreciation of bourbon. We went to a dinner party that night and friends of ours that have been drinking bourbon for years, told me that they learned so much from me. A true gem. Not a huge location but in every section, especially in quality liquors, just a great selection. I'm an exotic rum guy but in terms of whiskey, tequila, Italian amaros also this place is extremely well curated. It's very obvious the owners pick some of the best, sometimes hard to find bottles available. I drive here for rums that are simply not available anywhere else in the Greater Philadelphia area. But even for stuff that the much larger Total Wines mega store down the road carries as well, their prices are very slightly better. So skip the mega-store...
