A word of caution for any potential customer: You may only want to pay for whatever you buy here in cash. I am truly shocked at what happened here about 8 hours ago at this DQ location. Luckily for me, I have notifications sent to me whenever a bank transaction occurs. Otherwise, I probably would have been cleaned out by one of their employees. We came here on 8/15/24 to get my daughter some ice cream. We are actually one of their regular customers and have been for many years. I will just say that right after we placed our order and left the premises, about an hour and a half later, which would be about the time they close, someone ran my debit card for almost $300.00! Imagine my surprise when I saw that I was on the hook for someone’s purchase for something related to “Rather Unique Studio” (teaches barber skills from what I understand). Or at least that’s what the bank told me on the phone when I called to ask them about the purchase that I didn’t recognize as being one that I had made. They said they will be investigating, but in the meantime, I am now with no way to get cash or money if I need to purchase something for myself or my kid. I am a single mom with a young daughter to support, and I can tell you right now that this is something that I can ill-afford. First of all, shame on you Dairy Queen for not doing your due diligence in checking your employees background and allowing this to happen. Secondly, I have a pretty good idea of who did it. The payment was taken by a young man. This all took place at about 9:30 PM yesterday, which was Thursday. I was ripped off by the so-called “dairy treat capital of the world”. And to think, they asked me if I wanted to donate to the charity that they’re collecting for. Maybe they were upset because I politely said “No thank you”. But literally, the only reason I declined to donate is because I have noise sensitivity issues and lately, they want to yell into the speaker box at full volume about how happy they are that they got a donation. I don’t mind donating. I just don’t love you screaming into my ear. But if you used my decision not to donate as a justification for stealing from me, you are beyond pathetic and evil. My bank already has a good idea when and how this happened. I will just say one thing to the owner and that is: 1) Who in your crew has a debit/credit card reader that can be attached to their phone? Pretty sure they used one, as the bank told me that the card was shown as being swiped, which means they had to have done it there at around closing time. 2) Who do you know that might spend exactly $276.18 to give to a business named “Rather Unique Studio” - a place that has barber classes. I sincerely hope for your sake and the sake of your business that he hasn’t done this to anyone else. At the very least, you need to fire him for theft and/or call the police. The amount of money stolen out of my bank account may not seem like much to some people, but that is quite literally my grocery money. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. How would you like it if someone did this to you or your family? So, I guess you could say, in a manner of speaking, if you add in the original price of the ice cream into the equation, I paid $300.00 for a Heath Caramel Brownie Cupfection. So, I hope whoever stole from my bank account enjoys knowing they ruined my weekend and made it so that the one business I actually enjoy going to on a regular basis and trusted is just as bad as all the others in this...
Read moreTerrible customer service all around! I promised my teens Dairy Queen and YES I pulled up 10 minutes before closing, however, I’m still supermom because I MADE IT! I realize this is frustrating to workers but it was a heck of a day! The drive through was confusing, so good thing it wasn’t busy or I probably would have had an at fault accident. I order a cone w sprinkles, a blizzard (Oreo AND Reese’s), another cone, root beer, coke and pretzel sticks. They start to hand me the two cones as if I’m going to eat both as well as drive (I wish I was that good) and seemed annoyed when I asked for a cup to put them upside down in. Then they flip the blizzard and go to hand it to me (all Dairy Queen’s do this so not really location specific) without a lid. So I ask for one and as he’s getting it, something doesn’t look right. They hadn’t put the Reese’s in my sons blizzard that I paid extra for. So some little short young girl comes and then fussed at someone out of view that it was supposed to have Reese’s (just my opinion, close the window before you lay into a coworker, don’t embarrass them so u look competent) By this time they cut out the light and I actually had to beep twice to let them know the blizzard wasn’t right. I actually wasn’t eating anything and all I wanted was a cold drink but whatever they gave me was not a coke. In fact, out of four adults and a 16 year old nobody could tell what that drink was. I even gave them like $5 for some charity they were soliciting and I swear that lil girl took it out my hand and went to the back with it. Only stopped at this location because the one closest to me (North Battlefield) would have been closed by the time I got there. No more supermom when it comes to Dairy Queen. They’re on their own. Seriously though, while I empathize with them when that one person comes in 10 minutes to close but the attitude radiating off that short girl was uncalled for. The other employees seemed perfectly fine serving me. This was 2-26-22. Photos are just stills from a video I took of everyone trying to figure out what I was drinking (we are all related and fully...
Read moreRidiculous the amount of money you pay for such skimpy ice cream. I ask for extra toppings in my Blizzard and paid extra for it. I watched as it was being made and noticed extra was not put in the ice cream. I ask the staff if she put extra in and she was honest and said No. She then added extra. I also, ordered a Banana split and ask for all strawberry topping. Instead of the manager putting strawberry on all 3 ice creams in the bowl, she just used one scoop for the whole bowl. I also, observed as staff was wiping down where the messes from the ice cream dripping were on the machine used to make Blizzard’s and then using the same rag to wipe the rims of the Blizzard cups when done making them. That is totally disgusting and cross...
