IHOP — Restaurant in Chesapeake

Trash 🗑if I could give a negative score I would...I visited the Chesapeake square location on 12/29/22 normally Ihop is good but DO NOT go to this location. I placed a mobile order for pickup and my food was horrible. My order was suppose to be ready by 8:30pm. When I arrived no one would answer the phone for curbside pickup, so I went inside. I waited roughly 20mins before anyone walked out from the back to say anything. But only two people were sitting in the entire restaurant. Finally, an older woman came out from the kitchen and said it would be a few moments. About 10mins later (30mins at this point) she walks over to ask if I've been helped yet. I told her I placed a mobile order for pickup. She said ok walked away, about 15mins goes by (45mins at this point - not counting the time i sat in the car) She brings me my order. My food looked old and gross like someone made it earlier that day and it had been sitting there. The eggs looked like dried playdough and had a gross film around them. My pancakes were cold, and my wife's food looked even worse. I asked for a refund expeditiously. The woman told me since I placed the order online I had to call the 1-800 number online for a refund. I called the customer service number and the person there said someone would be in touch with me within a day or so, a week later I have yet to receive a callback. Needless to say, I disputed the transaction with my bank. 0 out of 10 do...

One of the most terrible experiences ever. We came in and it was not busy at all. We got our drinks quickly and ordered our food. Waited 20 minutes then 1 of the kids got their food and no one else did. Then 10 minutes later they brought out most everyone else's food. My nephew ordered Tres Leche pancakes and got cinnamon ones my daughter ordered chicken and waffles and got chicken and then was told she would have to get pancakes or French toast. That should have been said long before she gets half of her order. My sister still had to wait on her omelet. 5 minutes later her omelet came. Still the place was not busy at all. The waitress never came back to give us refills on our drinks or to check on us. My pancakes had a big thick piece of plastic in it. I had a hard time finding a waitress to show her. They said they would give me more pancakes but I can not trust their food and they couldn't tell me how it got in my food. They did not get me a manager to speak with. Took my meal off the ticket but that's it. I will NEVER recommend this IHOP to anyone. What if that plastic was in one of the kids pancakes and they choked on it. I could have choked and they really didn't seem to care. My daughter said her French toast wasn't even cooked all the way and still had raw egg on it....

A friend and I went to IHOP Chesapeake Square on Monday, August 21, 2017. First the sever took our order I asked for bacon and soft scrambled eggs with cheese not runny. The table was very sticky and I had to catch a server passing by to wipe and dry it. The server after taking our order came back to ask what we wanted to drink. We both stated water and I added NO lemon. Needless to say mine had lemon. Once the food came everything was over cooked for both and I had sausage rather than bacon the pancakes were pull apart like it was in layers. My friend asked for jelly and she replied we don't have any strawberry a lady from a near by table passed hers to the server who then placed it on our table. Then....all of a sudden employees rushed in with several bags and bags of eggs, and half gallon containers of orange juice in Food Lion bags right through where the customers were sitting. One sever used the black butter cup to pour herself juice and recapped the juice. We did however give tips to both servers. More inserverice/training should be given. The server we had was awfu she was not a good listener because apparently she did not care. This IHOP a great candidate for Undercover Boss! ZERO STARS WOULD BE...
