I ordered a meal for three family members. Upon arrival i paid for the food and then waited a couple minutes for Madison (young lady at to go counter) to retrieve my food. Upon inspection of my food I noticed that my taco salad and white salsa were missing. Madison took the ticket back to the kitchen to get it fixed. 10 minutes became 15 minutes and still my food had not arrived. Madison decided to inform me that they were busy. It was painfully obvious that they were busy and her comment didnt help. I took a breath and calmy responded "I understand where you are coming from but you should not give excuses to customers but instead you should fix what went wrong". Madison went on to tell me that it was Cinco De Mayo. About 20 minutes later the manager "Ali" emerged with my taco salad. I informed him that I could not take cold food back to my family and I asked him to replace the other orders. It took about 5 minutes to return the other food. Ali was obviously busy and wasnt thinking clearly or he surely would have ensured all food was hot to begin with. After all this trouble I would have expected Ali to comp my meal or offer coupons for a next visit, sadly he did not provide any compensation for my troubles. As I told Ali, we have been regular customers for 10 years. I will be contemplating other Mexican options in the future. I certainly will not order to...
Read moreI rarely ever leave reviews, but this place is one of the first few. Coming from the California Mexican border, I honestly have high expectations of mexican cuisine and after having to move to Virginia, I've settled for less, but filling food. Coming here, however isnt just the best Mexican food I've had in Virginia, but even surpasses most on the mexican border. The Seafood chimichangas I had were exploding with flavor and The Wife had enchiladas rancheros and the enchiladas was able to be cut with a fork, which is the hallmark of great enchiladas, with the meat slightly crunchy and very juicy.
The server, Marino, of course was kind and was always present to check on us and get everything we needed quickly and orderly, and the aesthetic is outstanding, it reminds me of the old El Dorado restaurants, also authentic Aztec. After ordering the food was out in nearly 5 mins during off hours, but still very quick.
I cant compliment this place enough, the wife is obsessed and we will be eating here very often while we still live here. The prices are standard for a mexican joint so it's pretty damn affordable too!
Cant wait...
Read moreI am so angry and disgusted!!! I chose to commute to this restaurant from Virginia Beach, when there's a Plaza Azteca right near my house. I just wanted to enjoy the scenery and weather along the way. The waitstaff looked over worked and exhausted with no desire to serve but non the less, we managed to still get our food in a timely matter, fresh and hot and not to mention, very good! Of course you can't eat it in one sitting so I brought it home. I didn't open it again until the morning and warmed it for breakfast. Still so much that I only warmed half just to discover while chewing, the longest piece of hair entangled in my mouth and food. I have braids so in no way shape or form was it my hair. I almost immediately regurgitated in my mouth. I absolutely hate finding hair in my food especially when it can be avoided with simple hair net solutions! Now I've wasted time, money and gas and the rest of the food was tossed. I can still imagine that hair in my mouth which makes me sick to my stomach. I hope at least yesterday was their...
