Visted their stand at Ribfest this past weekend in Niagara Falls NY. To say the service was incredibly slow would be an understatement. The line wasn’t that long, but we waiting for close to 20 minutes. Then when it was finally our turn to order, we realized why.
The women who took our order was the text book definition of a meth head. Couldn’t keep her eyes open while talking to us, slurred speech, scars all up and down her arms and legs, one of which on her arm was bleeding.
My girlfriend and I both ordered a boneless rib sandwich, which was #3 on the menu, the cashier tried ringing in a #2. Then when she asked what sides we wanted, we had to repeat to her 4 times what we wanted, she stumbled over to grab food trays then just stood off to the side for a few minutes before actually getting the food. She put our trays onto the table and stuck her hands into each tray while telling the cook what we ordered.
When we finally got the food, the ribs were the quality of a high school cafeteria, and to be fair, the BBQ sauce wasn’t great. Could’ve easily gotten better at plenty of local places.
She also rang out our order at a wrong price and never even charged us. She opened the drawer, closed it and mumbled have a good day, so we just walked away.
So I’m not sure what back alley dumpster they got that employee out of but she was beat.
In conclusion: Below average food God...
Read moreCASH ONLY! Located in what feels like an abandoned shopping center. It's a small corner restaurant of a strip establishment. Extremely small dining room with outdated tables and chairs. Feels dirty ONLY because it's old and cluttered, but it was actually clean. The walls are covered with photos and plaques. The room is cluttered with trophies, tables, a printer, and holiday decorations. They do offer booster seats, which were stacked along a wall. The staff was polite and quick with my order. Seemed like a family establishment. The menu was old and difficult to read with missing letters. Someone was actually printing menus while I was there. Prices are reasonable, cost only $33 for 2 dinners, 2 sandwiches, and 1 side. I had the chopped pork with fries and beans. The pork had few fat pieces, which I loved. Large portion. Sweet bbq sauce. I'm a Carolina bbq fan, so I prefer vinegar based bbq. But this was a great bbq plate. The fries were seasoned and fried just right. The beans had pineapple, which I've never had before but it was rather tasty. Another ordered the 3 piece bbq chicken with beans and potato salad. The chicken was so tender and seasoned perfectly. Large portions. Potato salad was creamy and tasted great. Overall, good meal and pleasant staff. Just a small, old,...
Read moreI planned a surprise birthday party for my husband at the last minute. Took a chance ordering from a restaurant I had never even heard of simply because Smokey Bones was too expensive and the portions they offered were ridiculously small. I must say I was pleasantly surprised from the superb customer service from beginning to end and my guests were amazed at how great the food tasted. Some my guest lived in close proximity to the restaurant and had never heard of or tasted the food. But unanimously everyone loved the food and said they will be stopping in to have lunch and/or will order for their next event. I gave this restaurant 5 stars for excellent customer service from the first phone call to picking up my order. Everything was delicious, ribs, chicken wings, brisket, baked beans and collard greens, the portion was more than enough and the price was very reasonable and very well worth it... I have never left a review for a restaurant good or bad. But I felt I had to let people know what a great experience I had. Also, I was given a free bottle of their special home made sauce. Thanks so much making my husbands...
