McDonald's — Restaurant in Chesapeake

UPDATE: Was at McDonald’s yesterday in a pick up spot after placing an online order. Sat in the pick up spot for over 20 minutes while cars were consistently going through the drive-through without delay. Sent my husband inside to the front counter where he stood for 10 more minutes, because employees were not getting service at the front. My husband witnessed two customers come in stand and wait and when they weren’t acknowledged, they left. So with my husband standing inside, I called the manager, which I could see through the drive-through window pick up the phone. I told him the situation that I was sitting outside for an outrageous amount of time and that my husband at this point had been in the lobby for 15 minutes and no one had come to the front to acknowledge anyone. Was a young black guy and I didn’t get his name, but he said to me that they were understaffed and he would get to my order when he got to it. Less than three minutes later, my husband had our order in his hand. so needless to say, they overlooked the pick up spot order probably unintentionally, and instead of admitting his faults, he just wanted to be a jerk to me. I come there often as you can see from the photos that I post so I am more than aware that they have plenty of staff and on this particular night as I was sitting in the pick up spot, I witnessed six different employees walking past the drive-through window. McDonald’s is going to get shut down there’s no way it can possibly keep on especially letting homeless people sleep in the side parking lot but, that’s another topic for another day.

This McDonald’s is sadly declining. Several months ago the customer service was a horrendous, I will say in the past two months I’ve noticed that the staff have become a lot more diverse and friendly. The pictures I have below are of three different experiences, and each one depict the quality of service that you do receive. These are just for my last three visits. But I’ve been dealing with this for over two years. Every sandwich I get whether it’s a McChicken, a big Mac, or a double cheeseburger is always such a mess and you need a stack of napkins to get through it. I always add mayonnaise to my sandwiches and I guess they think it’s funny to make it a big pile of slop. I have no other option but to go to this McDonald’s because it’s really really close to my house and I don’t see the sense in driving to McDonald’s and getting mediocre service there as well. I highly suggest not doing pull up service if you order through the app because 90% of the time it’s children and they love to play around so they don’t bring the order out promptly. I sat one time for 45 minutes and I had to call the store to get them to walk the 10 feet out to my car and hand me freezing cold food. The franchisee has given up as he’s allowing people to live on the property. And not maintaining the outside of the store. it’s really sad because I grew up here and McDonald’s was such a treat when I was a kid going to the play place and enjoying a meal with my family now as an adult I don’t get to share that...

I normally go to other restaurants for breakfast when I am out at that time but today I went to McDonald's for the first time in years and went inside to to place and pick up my order for four Egg McMuffins. I waited 25 minutes and then my order was ready for me to grab off the counter. I picked up my order and check the contents of the bag and found it was not my order and the other order that was brought out at the same time for another customer was also not with that person had ordered. So while I was there McDonald's screwed up two people's orders. Finally the lady who brought the orders out came back to the front and I told her it's not what I ordered. It should be four Egg McMuffins just like the little labels stamped on the bag shows. So I waited another 20 minutes and finally I left with four Egg McMuffins and when I got home, my family and I started eating our Egg McMuffins only to find out uncomfortably there were eggshells broken up inside of her egg 1 hour Egg McMuffins. I know that the eggshell is a part of the egg but it should not be in my sandwich and it shouldn't be in everybody else's sandwich. So McDonald's cannot get the orders correctly to the person the first time and they can't keep the egg shells out of the egg on the Egg McMuffins. And the long wait and a half price for what I had to deal with McDonald's is a place that I will not be going to again 4 years and I will continue to visit other restaurants like Bojangles Burger King Hardee's and the mom and pop stores that do breakfast and seem to do it way better than McDonald's and I don't have to touch buttons on a kiosk when I can just walk up and tell somebody what I want and get fast friendly service and get the correct quality food quickly and for less money. It seems the golden arches has evolved to the point where you have to have plenty of gold in your pocket to pay for the meal and plenty of time to wait for your meal and then you have to tolerate crap that really should not be in your egg that most other places seem to have done a good job of eliminating egg shells from your food. McDonald's will not improve until until everybody stops doing business with them. When they're going out of business maybe they'll get around to their old model of doing business fast friendly and in person and giving you a quality product that doesn't contain the byproducts that it should have remained somewhere other...

My husband and I went here last night around 10:15 pm and we waited for 20 minutes for our order to be taken. The shift manager looked at us and didn't say anything to us but continued to fixing drive through orders. Another young lady came out took our order and we still waited an extra 30 minutes for the food. While we were waiting the shift manager rudely asked us what we were waiting for. We didn't answer because we weren't sure if she was speaking to us or not by the way she was talking. Then the other young lady that took our order gave us our food, meanwhile the shift manager proceeded to make comments to us using profanity and yelling at us. We were appalled. The restaurant was filthy and no one seemed to know what they were doing. When we finally received our food which was about 11:10 pm, we couldn't get out of the building, the doors were locked. We had to ask the shift manager to open the door, and she began cursing and threatening us. I said that I was going to contact the restaurant in the morning and she stated that she didn't give a damn. I asked her what her name was since she didn't have a name tag and she stated that she didn't have a name and continue to curse and threaten us. We've never been threatened like this before. The restaurant was filthy and the employees were not dressed like they were at work. Female employees had their pants sagging with no belt and we could see the underwear. The young lady that took our order, had her hat turned backwards pants sagging and she was our order was thrown in the bag. My French fries were half way filled up, quarter pounder was not done and the fish sandwich had no tartar sauce and it was thrown in the container upside down. I will never visit this location again!!!! This used to be my favorite place to eat but the way we were treated last night, I will...
