New City Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Chesapeake

this was my first time ordering from this place, I came all the way from Norfolk, a lot of people told me about this place tasted very good so I wanted to try it, and I ordered some Sweet sour Pork for my husband so he can have lunch for his lunch break, (They didn't even have a smaller size for it, all they had was lunch ) I called them to tell them that I wanted to pick up, they told me about 10mins, and right after I went in there I grabbed my food, and I paid with my credit card, I Even tip them, I got the food. It smells really good, but when I give them to my husband, he started eating and he found out that there's a piece of white hair inside the pork!!!! Ewwww! That's disgusting!! And It's soooooooooo oilly !! The other Chinese place I always went to never had this situation before! I'm not trying to make a big deal about it, I just want to tell everyone that I personally do not recommend this restaurant, and i am very disappointed, I don't know why or how other people can eat this stuff,they wasted my time, my gas, and ruined my husbands lunch breaks! but I am never ordering from this place...

i used to order regular from this place until the little delivery man with the round glasses about 100lbs. started giving me an attitude when he didn't get a big tip. One time he said something wise but I could "not hear him and as he walked away quick I said what ? but he wouldn't repeat it. I started to use another place and tonight tried new city again. I handed him the money he gave me a dirty look and just practically ran away, no thank you no do you need change, and the food took over an hour to get to me ice cold. I called the place to complain and the women on the phone acted like she couldn't speak English when I complained. I will never order there again ! Horrible customer service and attitude. Who knows what they do in making the food the way they act ! I order from king dragon, much nicer faster service and food just as good. He's lucky I am a nice guy because this army ranger would have showed him how to respect a soldier...

I love this restaurant their food is consistent and everyone there is so nice. Tonight I ordered a meal through GrubHub and when it got delivered I realize there was no sweet-and-sour sauce which literally makes the meal when you get sweet-and-sour chicken. I called up to new city and even though I had ordered through GrubHub and I know they don’t make as much money that way they sent a driver out who was here within 10 minutes just to deliver me the sauce that had been left off. This is a type of customer service you rarely see in 2022. This is why they are my go to Chinese place and I highly recommend giving them a chance if you are...
