The people and the coffee were excellent. however, I was a little concerned with the theme. While it was encouraging to see the military paraphernalia on the walls, what struck me as not good, was the language on my cup.
It said things like āstay caffeinatedā ālook unapproachableā and I think the other one was āstay angry.ā
Iād rather my community be made more pure, and if somebody came around and started telling my children any of those things, I would tell them they need to get away from my children. Therefore, it is my strong, encouragement and counsel to those who are running the pale horse, to consider putting more wholesome friendly and inviting phrases on their marketing, as the language currently does not match their demeanor, and the friendly community that Iāve witnessed with my own eyes that gathers there.
All this said, I do plan to go back, and I wish the business well that it would grow to be an inviting and wholesome place for the professionals and the community to gather.
5/9/23 EDIT post-convo with Gray, the owner.
For the record, Gray was very polite. And he did listen patiently to my concerns. And the fact that he was willing to address them and make the changesātaking them to heart, is greatly encouraging about a business that not only cares about making a profit, but also the community around them!
I Would also like to point out that he informed me that the entire design and theme, came from a previous co-owner, who no longer is part of the company. He has replaced āSTAY ANGRYā and ā LOOK UNAPPROACHABLEā with the American Flag.
I think that is a fantastic change, much more in line with the entire businessesā heart in supporting veterans, and their patriotism, for things like the US Constitution and the liberty for which this country stands. šŗšø
Iām glad Mr. Gray brought up that these reviews do affect his livelihood, and I would hope again, as I expressed before that, as a community we would value the things that are good, noble, kind, and pure.
even if the popular culture is drifting towards the love of that which is Deadly, wrong, and just plain evil. Therefore we should still stand for what is true and righteous as both the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed, and lived out, as well as the brave men and women and veterans of this country, who have laid down their lives, so that our children and the childrenās children of their neighbors may have the liberties for which this country stands.
It is my prayer, many of the people that gather inside the Pale Horse Coffee shops would be encouraged to likewise be both faithful in God (as a righteous, holy, and loving compassionate creator, who hates wickedness as the psalms says), but also encourage and educate the community on the liberties and rights and duties for each of us as citizens has to our neighbor in our country.
To God be the glory, and may he bless this establishment, so that his spirit of truth, and liberty, and brotherly affection may overcome and conquer the spirit of death that is at work in the hearts of unbelievers.
āTherefore, thus saith the Lord Yahweh: āBehold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not standāā āāIsaiah⬠ā28ā¬ā¬ āKJVā¬ā¬
What Christ is saying through the mouth his servant: Isaiah, is that though the sons of men have an unhealthy fixation with that which is a curse: Sin & Death (the work of the wicked one) the word of God shall overcome! He is the truth and eternal life who shall annihilate that morbid covenant, and for those who receive a love of the truth he shall wed himself to them in an everlasting covenant of blessedness, purity, and enjoy the show never be taken away.

Had a latte ("Mustang" iced) that was very good. I enjoyed at 1/2 sweet and was able to enjoy flavor without being overwhelmed. Brew seemed good and was not too acidic. Offered substitutions if you have dairy sensitivity.
Did not have the food, but looked good. Pastries and more hearty options.
Volume: medium with some normal spikes in volume Headphones/ loops good for people sensitive to sound
Generally physically accessible. Low enough bar for pickup of food to use wheelchair. Plenty of space between tables to not worry about bumping into a neighbor.
Would recommend going here for small/medium group (2-6 people). Lots of places to sit, but also quite active so expect to share. Was there 9:30ish on a Tuesday.
Options for various levels of seating (barstool, bench, metal seats, and low stools) and many tables that can accommodate for wheelchairs. Outdoor seating available.
A mix of people meeting to have catch up and others working. Amicable patrons who are ready to share a table. There are outlets around the walls of the room and lining the built-in benches/booth along the wall.
Bathrooms were spacious enough to navigate using a...

I visited this place yesterday morning with my son and we both loved it. I got the Bayonette & a chocolate chip muffin. He got the Mustang and a breakfast burrito. The ladies working the front were prompt, very helpful, and very kind. The place was packed, which shows many people like it. I had every intention of leaving a 5 star review across the board -- and then I saw the owner's comments to other reviewers. And it changed my mind.
If you treat a 4-star review as an unacceptable insult, you feel compelled to argue with customers and belittle them, and you refuse to accept any kind of feedback on your product or service, maybe owning a small business isn't for you.
I try to support local. I enjoy supporting vets. But, there are plenty of other places who respect their customer base and see feedback as a way to grow and provide even better service. The community is the heart of any business and being unwilling to engage with them is a huge red flag.
The coffee was very good, but the owner's behavior left a sour taste in my mouth. I won't be going out of my way to patronize this place for that...
