Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Chesapeake

This particular location caught fire about a year ago and this was my first time back. My husband and I decided to go inside the dining area to order. When we walked in, you heard the door chime go off, but no one was at the counter. I looked in the back and made eye contact with the line cook, the car hop, the drive thru worker and someone cleaning in the back - not a soul said anything to us, did not approach the counter, did not say we will be right with you, nothing - everyone was on their phone! The lady working the counter had her back turned, talking to the line cook, and was behind a piece of machinery. It took almost four to five minutes for her to realize we were standing there and for her to take our order, which was incorrect, and did not notice it until we were home about to eat. SS Burrito had ZERO sausage in it, I ordered a Sausage Toaster and received Bacon - it was so dry I threw it away immediately, and my husband mentioned his burger was just okay. Only positive thing to come of this trip was that the tots were hot. Neither myself nor my husband will be returning to this location; this was such a disappointing experience. I waited more than 30 minutes in their drive through for my order. Food was not even well prepared. I understand that working overnights is difficult but this service was just abysmal. And the food? That I waited so patiently for? Terrible. My coney came with the bun ripped up. I ordered their new pulled pork sandwich and it was disgusting. I took one bite and threw it away. The bun was dry and dusty, and the meat was sickening to look at. Somehow dry and over sauced at the same time, while looking like dirt they scraped off the floor. Small hard chunks slathered in a bland BBQ sauce is not pulled pork, I don't know how anyone could serve another person that and not seriously hate themselves afterwards. And the put the cherry on top, there was any angry customer standing outside the drive through who was yelling about her order. Worst experience ever, I should have gone to cookout. mabey this place is better during the day, but honestly there's better food during the day anyways. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Octavia at the Battlefield Chesapeake location was the absolute worst car hop or drive-through staff member ever ANYWHERE in the world! Beyond rude. I still cannot believe it! It started when she tried to hand me several large fountain drinks and I asked for a cup holder. She slammed the window while I was still talking, went to God knows where to get it, came back (obviously passed off), and I was still talking to her when she slammed the window shut, turned her back to me as I was waving and trying to get her attention, yelling from outside in my car, and I know she heard me. I will never go back there again. By the way, despite the fact that my name is Karen, and all the insults I have to endure just for this, I write almost entirely five-star reviews. I did not see any point in contacting this business for help because they obviously permitted this type of behavior since there was a fellow staff member watching this whole thing.
