I’ve been meaning to write this review since April 2022. I used to frequent this place for years, about 5 years, while living nearby. My most recent and LAST experience was in April 2022. A friend decided to take me out for my birthday and my place of choice was this small business. My friend had never been, and I raved about how good the food was. However, the customer service has always been subpar. When the lady used to run the register over the years, she was between her 30s 40s, her customer service manner always appeared as though “she’d rather be elsewhere and that she was aggravated that a customer came in”. I would always try to make conversation with her and be overly nice thinking that maybe she was just having an “off” day, but her manner remained the same, nonchalant and not welcoming. I looked passed this for a while and then at one point I stopped coming because her mood was off putting. I decided to give them another try. Then, I began seeing a man who had taken over the register. His customer service was okay, better than the nonchalant lady, but nothing to brag about. My last visit with my friend led me to my permanent decision of never supporting or referring customers to this restaurant. We went during lunch time, I ordered my usual, and I decided to get the DINNER portion. Long story short, when the guy brought my plate out, it was clearly the lunch size portion. I know the difference in the portion sizes because I’ve come here so much and have ordered the same meal over and over, lunch and dinner portions. When I brought it to the guy’s attention, he went and spoke with the older lady (the cook), came back and she said it was the correct portion. He tried to convince me that it was the dinner portion and I let him know it was not. I asked him how can we rectify this issue because it was clear that he was more concerned about going back and forth with me, rather than rectifying and solving my issue. He eventually flat out said they were not going to do anything. The tone and manner in which he handled the issue was very rude. My friend even jumped in and let him know how awful it was how he handled the issue after I had been bragging to her about the food, the fact that I was a long-time customer, and the fact that I was polite and nice to him when I even addressed the issue. In summary, his reaction to my friend was, oh well, we’re not remaking the food or adding anything to it and that’s that. In the midst of my friend and the guy going back and forth, the older lady (the cook) comes out and stands in the middle of the aisle with a knife in her hand. I was taken back and could not believe that both the guy and old lady were carrying themselves in such manner representing this business. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS EVER AGAIN SIMPLY BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. No, I don’t recommend this restaurant at all. It was evident through the years they do not value customer service, and they do not value those who support their business. If you want Thai food, try Racha Thai Cuisine a couple minutes up the street, they have great customer service EVERY SINGLE TIME and everyone was pleasant and welcoming in my several interactions, over the phone...

It's rare for me to give a one-star review so when I do, it's for a valid reason. This was our second time eating here. First was in January of 2020. My friend and I with our two boys, all who love Thai. That we were the only ones there during dinner should have been an indication, but our other Thai place was closed that night so we gave it a chance. It was awful.

Fast forward to about a month ago. Went to order Thai for pickup, but our usual place is closed on Tuesdays so we looked for something else. My husband found this place and placed our usual order. It was the worst. We normally order 4/5 spice. We like heat, even Thai heat. My mother-in-law doesn't do we ordered her a 1 or mild. When my husband returned with our dinner, we could tell right away something was off. All of the sauce was separated but the real test was when we tried it. I say try because none of us could eat it. The heat and taste of habañero was so overwhelming that it was the only thing happening. We tried to muscle through but it wasn't possible. Upset that we spent about $120 on food that was inedible and not salvageable (we TRIED), my husband decided to give them a call and let them know what happened. He was thinking someone made a mistake and accidentally added too much spice because nobody would intentionally do that, and wanted to give them a heads up so other's meals weren't affected. He also didn't want to leave them a negative review without giving them a chance. When he told them, they just said "okay, thank you" and hung up. Clearly not interested in the feedback or their clientele.

It wasn't until the next day when the same friend from our first visit was over and we were relaying what happened, that she reminded me that it was the same place we had gone to. I looked it up and sure enough, same place.

Do yourselves a favor (and save some money) and just go to Racha Thai on Battlefield (or literally any other Thai place). Just remember they're closed...

I was next door and tried to place a to-go order over the phone. The phone rang and rang, so I went over to place an order in person. I stood at the counter and waited for the front of house person to take my order. Meanwhile, I make eye contact with the lady cooking in the back and we exchanged smiles a couple of times. I’m still waiting for my order to be taken when a gentleman comes through the door wanting to dine-in. He is seated and his order was taken before I’ve even been acknowledged. I finally, decide just to speak up and tell the woman my order. She still doesn’t make eye contact, then tells me, “ That’ll be 30 minutes, maybe sooner, maybe later.” I got the vibe that my business was not wanted, even though they were slow for it being a lunch hour. So, I told them to never mind and they have permanently lost my business. I was excited to try this place as it had such good reviews and a high rating. Too bad my first time trying to order was met with such rudeness and disdain for my business. I will never give my money to people who treat me rudely inside of...

...so where to start. The customer service is TERRIBLE and it's sad because the chef there, she's really nice. The guy at the register is Extremely rude, not just to me but to customers on the phone and anyone coming to get an order to go. He exaggerated cook times so that customers would leave, I and my friend sat and watched him do this at least five times and that's not including his phone orders. The food looks good but it ISN'T and that's also disappointing, not only was the food unappetizing it was overpriced and plain white rice isn't included with the meals, it's an expensive extra that you have to request. We also had to tell them to bag our TAKE-OUT. Lastly I usually go to Racha Thai Cuisine and the only reason I didn't go today is because for some reason they were closed on Tuesday. I REGRET wasting my money at Jasmine Thai Cuisine, the food and customer service was disappointing. A very UNWELCOMING experience for my friend and myself. GO TO RACHA THAI CUISINE instead!!

* Editing to add that we still love this place after two years! We went to Thailand several months ago and haven't wanted to have thai food again until we found an authentic place, this place definitely nails it. They were highly recommended to us. The pad thai is perfect. The noodles were just right, super fresh sprouts and roasted peanuts and lime, and I love the more hoisin based sauce. We also got the potato/ pineapple yellow curry with chicken and it is also delicious. My husband said it's the most authentic thai he's had in the states. It was hard to stop ourselves once we were super full, but we still have good sized lunches from leftovers, too.
