Wish I could take away the 1 star given. I don’t normally write reviews but after spending almost $40 to feed 3 people, had to be done. Decided to try somewhere new instead of Peking. Chose Taste of China because the rating was a little higher. Never again! The first thing you notice is the smell of burnt oil through your mask. Ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, sauce didn’t taste right, something super artificial about it or it was going bad. Something funky about it. White rice smelled and tasted burnt. Chicken Lo Mein had no flavor, chicken was mushy and didn’t seem cooked correctly. Husband had the General Tso chicken, meat was overcooked and the egg roll was “gross”. It had more cabbage than anything. The shrimp were tiny & from the taste, look & texture probably frozen. The white rice was good. 😔 And the egg rolls were decent. The crab rangoons were the worst. We love them but these had a taste we couldn't place. Also, we're always given a red sweet & sour sauce, but not here. Which really doesn't matter if you can't even eat the rangoons. Read moreI have been a loyal customer for 20+ years; the best Chinese take out place in the area. A family owned/operated place that gets to know you; they know what you order each time - and are always super friendly. I have always enjoyed each meal; and it's always served in a very timely manner.
For the low reviews... I'd say that they are wrong - I've never been disappointed with quality; quantity; or timeliness... period. I'd challenge anyone to find a better place.
Regardless - I'll keep my loyalty and keep giving them...
