Panera Bread — Restaurant in Chesapeake

I frequently order from Panera while at work, sometimes 3 times a week and usually combine orders with other employees. Well, the last time I ordered for delivery is the last time Panera will see any of my money. I placed an order for my coworker and I and when I was notified it was delivered it was just dropped and left. Bill almost always waits for me to pick up my food but he wasn't my driver that day. As I collect our food and go to separate it I notice that it's not our food. I look at the receipt and sure enough, it's not our food. It had 2 bagels, a sandwich, a drink and a 1/2 & 1/2 order. If you know how pricey they are you know that's alot of food. I call Panera and ask them to remake our food (since I don't know who's handled it, where it went or is it still with my driver) only for the clerk to tell me to call Doordash. DD, I say? What? I didn't order from them, I ordered from you. I'm sorry, we've recently gone to DD for delivery and if you have an issue you need to call them. I asked if this was a company wide decision or just this location? Well, it seems they fired Bill and every other delivery driver. I don't use DD because the driver doesn't care, and this instance shows right here. I told her to cancel my order, my coworker to eat all the food that junky DD left and will never eat there again. #Doordash sucks and now so does Panera. I know my $100 a month won't matter but it matters to me and the drivers...

This Panera Bread has great food and service. I will say that the staff always seem overextended. It's relatively clean, although the bathrooms are very small and okay on cleanliness.

Edit: We are never coming for coffee again. Bad experience the last two visits....

First time, it was about 8am. No coffee was made. The menus weren't even flipped to the breakfast side. In the long wait for them to make the coffee, we noticed plenty of dirt and dust everywhere. You could even see where the cups used to be in the dust... You can't have a normal mug anymore but only the disposable they give with your food.

Second time, it was about noon. Didn't have the carafes out for creams. They brought them out and I served myself coffee... Coffee is super cold and old. I didn't even wait this time for them to do the coffee. I also noticed that yes food service is super fast, but so fast obviously the sandwiches are premade.

They are still very obviously understaffed. It's not very clean at all. They don't keep the coffee fresh, and there is no indication of when the coffee was last made.

Not sure I'll ever go to this...

This location is probably the worst Panera I've ever experienced. I've lived in the area for almost 4yrs and they have NEVER gotten my order right, and that's not an exaggeration. And these aren't any special or customized orders, just their normal menu items. Tonight I ordered a salad and some of the main ingredients were missing, including the chicken. One time the driver drove right by our house (I was tracking the delivery and waiting on the porch because it was significantly late) and never delivered our food. He updated the app saying he did, but didn't and just went home for the night. Then when I called the restaurant because the app showed it was delivered they told me their delivery driver went home for the night and I could request my order be delivered the next day or drive to the restaurant and they'd remake my order. Everytime it's something. I usually give them another try every 6 months thinking maybe there's new people working and this time it will be better, but it never is. I know mistakes happen, but never a correct order in 4yrs tells me there's a bigger problem at...
