I'm not a fan of hot dogs, but knew what I was in for when I went with friends. Or so I thought ... I am so picky about my food and they were patient, FRIENDLY and cooked my turkey BLT exactly the way I wanted. (OK so I ordered it as a club with no ham, no mayo, no tomato, no roast beef ... she smiles sweetly, 'ok honey, you want a turkey with crisp bacon only lettuce - got it.' DUH.) Yeah. That was exactly what I wanted... right down to the perfect light brown on my toast... I warned you I was picky... Went back a month later with friend again, got chicken salad. I never get things like this bc I am no fan of mayo. It was delicious. Went back again a few weeks later, another friend (these locals LOVE THIS PLACE FOR GOOD REASON!) and got the egg salad sandwich. WOW. Onion rings and dipping sauce. Holy-Moly! I've been there probably 50 times in the past 5 years, friends, alone, doesn't matter. I have NEVER been disappointed. The ladies are FRIENDLY, joking and FUN - even when they are so slammed busy that people wait outside. Do not pay mind to the bad reviews. If you are on a diet, why would you go to a hot dog place? Well guess what, I had turkey wrapped in lettuce my first trip. Everything in life is what you make of it and some people just refuse to smile or think outside of the box. Instead of being influenced by their poor reviews, and lack of creativity, I made my own decisions and I will continue to frequent this business every time I am in the Great Bridge area. I have even sent friends by there when they are simply on 168 - oh yeah? hey man, you HAVE to check out this sandwich shop - they are amazing! Go. Draw your own conclusions. The food is great, the atmosphere is cute and cozy and the staff are super friendly. And PS - the prices are CHEAPER than fast food combos - so fresh beats out for that IMO every time. And the order is right EVERY time. ... I could go on and on about how awesome this place is, but I'll stop here because if you aren't interested by now, nothing I say will get you there, and this way there will be an empty seat when I go...
Read moreWe LOVE L.A. Dog! It's almost a 20 minute drive and it's worth it. If they were closer I'd go more often for sure!
We LOVE the atmosphere. The decor of various signs with witty expressions and quotes is so much fun to look at; I see something different every time I visit.
Their fries are cooked to perfection. The hot dogs, and sausages are really great and my son loves his bacon cheese burger. I also love their custom sauce available on every table.
My little happy feeling about this place?! THEIR ICE! The ice from the self serve soda and ice machine is THE BEST. The tiny balls of ice that crunche and fall apart when you bite.... I don't know how else to describe it, but it's my favorite and rare to find so I always great myself to a soda when I dine here.
We love to go with my parents and the kids; there is always something for everyone. It's also a great place to just pop in and go by yourself. You don't need someone to talk to because there is so much too look at all around you :) *I posted photos of their walls on another occasion so be sure to check out the photos of...
