Consistantly great food 5stars 1star
Waited well over an hour after placing our order. We watched tables of people come ,place their orders, receive their food and leave. No one at any point stops by the table to apologize or explain why it is taking so long. After a solid hour passes our waitress approaches the owner who is making sushi and tells her that we have been here for over an hour. Several more Sushi orders are started and finished while we sit and wait. At this point we've had enough and ask if we can have the check. The waitress disappears momentarily to bring yet another order of sushi to a table before realizing that it was our sushi. So as HALF our sushi is being redelivered to our table an hour and 20 minutes after our order was placed we are still asking for the check please. Neither of us are even hungry anymore after sitting around for so long. The waitress goes and speaks to the owner yet again. Several minutes later the owner comes to our table and gives us an attitude as though we are some scum off the street looking for something for free. Then attempts to give me a lame excuse that they were very busy. Yes you were very busy, while we sat here and watched. We got there before 75% of the people that you made food for and served. We sat there directly in front of your sushi counter, in plain view. After eating at your restaurant every other week for the past 2 years . After driving an hour plus to your restaurant every other week for the past 2 years ,this will be our final trip. We have spent a lot of time and money on Domo and don't feel like the service we receive last night is any reflection of that. We are always polite, patient and appreciative. We always spend well and tip well. I will not be made to feel as though I did something wrong when you clearly drop the ball. Sometimes you just need to suck it up and apologize rather than make excuses and give attitudes. Very...
Read moreHad a horrible experience there tonight, I came in for my birthday dinner with my family of 8 at 6:45, they said that they could seat us right away but couldn’t order the hibachi until 7:30, but that we could order appetizers from the menu in the meantime. Ok that’s fine. However, they were severely understaffed and they set completely false expectations. We waited 30 minutes JUST to order our drinks at which point I asked if we could place our orders too and they refused to take them. I should have left at this point. Then 7:30 came and went and they focused on other tables and their take our orders- no priority for us, no one came over. Not once did they apologize for the wait or offer to bring over appetizers, soup, salad - nothing. I was so disappointed and my 2 young children were starving and restless by this point. Finally we had enough and I told my family that it was time to walk out - at which point they came over and said “oh we can take your order now” - over an HOUR after we initially came in and we haven’t had one morsel of food. They offered some free edamame and ice cream for the kids at that point which was too little too late and we were halfway out the door by this point. I overheard that one of the hibachi chefs called in sick (there was only one hibachi chef working for 4 full tables of people) - well then you should have done the right thing and not accepted more people than you were able to properly serve.
I wish I never came in there because they ruined my birthday dinner and I left in tears and was mortified. What a disgrace of a restaurant and poor management. This entire situation should have been handled completely differently. Not only will I never be back, I’ll be telling everyone I know to...
Read moreI did not have the best experience at this restaurant. There were some misunderstandings about the food we ordered and hibachi services. We went here upon recommendation and it was to celebrate my birthday. We went here for hibachi, however, when we got here the hostess said that there was no hibachi on Monday! I told her that the information is not on their website. She said she'd make an exception and SHE would cook hibachi for us. We really appreciated her extending us that courtesy and so we ordered a good amount of food. Anyhooo, then out comes this nervous guy that is NEVER MADE HIBACHI before and he is made us some really bland and unpalatable food. That lady didn't come out until she learned that we were upset! By then we had been served bland food, and it was too late. She did not offer any way to rectify the situation other than 'oh ya I tell them to make it like that (bland)'. I've had hibachi before and this was a massively disappointing experience and a waste of money. I would not recommend this restaurant even as a...
