The Fillin Station Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Chesterfield Township

We decided to spend our pre-Lions playoff night heading to The Fillin Station, as it seemed like a promising bar to go to for such an occasion. I have never been to a “dive bar”, so I did not know that it wasn’t a thing for dive bars to NOT have drink menus. I asked our waitress if they had a menu for drinks or what they had on tap, and she then replied to me, “Sweetheart this is a dive bar. We don’t have menus. You can get up and go look at what we have on tap.”While I appreciate straightforwardness, the response left me disappointed and uneasy the rest of my time there.

Our dining experience fell short of expectations. The food was mediocre, and with just two staff members managing the restaurant, service suffered. Our waitress seemed to abruptly stop serving us, leaving us to cash out at the bar.

Reflecting on the situation, it felt very invalidating to be responded to in such a way. As new residents in the area, eager to establish a preferred spot for football nights, this interaction has, unfortunately, steered us away from considering The Fillin Station for the future. Overall, a...

One of the lowest class pub and eateries in the area, in my opinion.

Walked in, and it took 15 minutes to even be recognized. Had to ask for a drink, and had to ask 10-15 minutes later for a menu. Waitress was too busy behind the bar chatting with other waitresses, and taking care of other later arriving customers. Discussions of topics not meant to be heard in a food establishment, especially while eating. One waitress lifts her leg pointing to her privates.

After even more time, decided to leave and cash out only after the drink. Stated to the waitress this was the worst experience we've ever had. Waitress responds with "awesome, don't come the ** back". . If you want low class, it doesn't get any lower class than this place and it's current staff.

Came in for the Jack of spades drawing and for some drinks. Absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced. Two girls running around with no idea what was going on. Watched one table ask somebody at another table to see if that person could get the bartender to get them drinks. The bartender then replied that the other girl was waiting on that table and then walked away. Watched two people walk in stand at the end of the bar for a good 15 minutes without being acknowledged, and then walked out. My food sat and waited for the tow Bartender to grab it while she walked past my food multiple times. But the time I got it was cold. Definitely needed a third bartender or waitress.
