Dos Locos Burritos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Chesterfield Township

This is my first review I’ve ever written.. I’ve been going to this taco place since it opened! The first time years ago I got the Quesabirria tacos I was hooked! I’ve been every week x1 since the past year especially for Tuesday/Thursday 5 for 10 tacos. I always get 2 shrimp (extra cost)with no pico/tomatoes)… As seen in the picture below the birria at 2-3x filled with meat for no additional cost (this is now all I recommend) … When I requested 2 shrimp tacos first they charged me $12.50 and now over $15.00 just yesterday and the past 2 weeks. I thought it was for “extra” limes but I only got 4 tiny slices for the whole meal all times. A couple previous times a few months back they gave me chicken tacos l(I think that’s what was given) and they were extremely dry and had to throw them away. They weren’t even edible. These past 2 weeks this is what my shrimp tacos look like. No avocado, no cabbage… for 5 dollars extra charge for 2 incomplete tacos… I tried to give them the benefit that maybe last week they misunderstood but yesterdays order was way worst then last weeks. I only requested NO PICO!!! That doesn’t mean no cabbage, avocado or only minimal shrimp. So bland and gross! The quality keeps declining rapidly… I’m highly disappointed and dos locos needs to go back to their original potions and standards to have people keep coming here. Not to mention 3 weeks ago I got “mystery” meat for my shrimp tacos… I think it could’ve been chicken? But completely dry I couldn’t even eat it. Even after I put a whole small container on their homemade verde salsa on it…Hopefully this review will bring this originally amazing place back up to the quality...

Have ordered here a few times and it's always top notch 👌 The guy that said the reviews are fake is honestly trippin' because this place has never disappointed. Order a few times through door dash, got a few different tacos with different proteins and every one of them was phenomenal. My personal favorite is the shrimp tacos dos locos style! Absolutely love the fresh cilantro they put on them, I feel like you don't get fresh cilantro many other places. Physically went into the restaurant today and was instantly greeted with a bright smile and vibrant attitude. The gentleman at the counter was very attentive and helpful. I was excited to have some tacos tonight, but these are some of the worst carne asada tacos I’ve ever had :( I’m so sad!!!!

I’m trying to be specific about what made them so bad. They were kinda bland and the only seasoning I could detect was salt. I think the meat was a bad/cheap cut of meat. Perhaps something like stew meat?? It was kinda greasy, made my hands greasy. Definitely didn’t seem like steak.

Either it had no marinade or not enough marinade. The meat was chopped super super fine. Lots of tiny little bits, made me think of kitten food. :/

I’m sorry I really wanted to like it, as I LOVE tacos. But these are not tasty. :(
