3 of us headed in for a drink and the lady behind the bar scanned our 3 vertical real IDs, all 3 of us over 21 and the scanner said we had fake IDs. We then proceeded to show our Military ID cards (CAC) proving we were all over the legal age to drink. And she still insisted she could not serve us drinks. Thursday night at 10pm. Edit: Thanks to the owner for the response, however that is not how things occurred. I would encourage the checking of video footage or a re-check of events with your staff. Three of us entered, were told kitchen was closing shortly, told the server it was alright, we just all wanted to stop in for a beer or two and didn’t need food anyways. We hung out by the golden tee machine before heading to the bar. Almost immediately, my friend is asked for ID and he pulls it out to be checked. The smartphone app being used as a scanner flagged this ID as fake as the bartender said “I’m sorry I can’t serve you.” My friend, being older than me was clearly confused but asked me to try my ID. I first showed my Army issued CAC which would not scan on the app so I then took that back and handed my drivers license which also scanned fake like my friends ID. I proceeded to get my CAC back out and describe to the bartender where my birthday was printed on the ID showing my birthday of February 2001. Was told I couldn’t be served still. I believe My third friend tried his military issued ID as well and his normal ID which also scanned fake. My personal belief is the smartphone app was flagging our vertical IDs for some reason. All of us being newly 21 within the last year, we all still possess vertical IDs. I’ll attach proof on both forms of Id of where age is printed. Okay, but frustrating service all around. All three of us being 21 and two being service-members and being turned away was laughably frustrating. I can only imagine how many others have been falsely turned away. Sure, there’s a slight chance we could have fake Military IDs AND licenses but there must be a better way to verify ID than this, plus, it isn’t worth the felony. The old fashioned way even. I wish the bartender attempted to take my ID because the police could have come in and verified it was real for them. I can access a military base but not a beer at the Chesterfield Harpos. Place looked great, good feel and music and even TVs all around. All of the servers were friendly as well. It’s a shame that all three of us were turned away with valid identification.

Sevice was horrible. Waited for everything. Not sure anyone else cared? "Tiger Balls" came with a sauce I'd swear was just ranch. A sport's bar because I wanted to watch the baseball game while drinking and eating but noooooooooo, the baseball was not on any of 12 tv's...hmmmmmm...go figure??? Would have been a one star but blackened samon and house chips was exceptional. I'll go back because it's the only choice. Still waiting for baseball on one of twelve tv's!!!! ...and now a year later look closely at the pic. That was my waiter or waitress and the service was so bad!!! If you read a review with good service, it was lucky for them. Don't expect service here!!!!

I stopped by to try the Ted Drewes Frozen Custard, and while it was enjoyable, it tasted more like a regular ice cream to me nothing particularly unique or standout. That said, the restaurant and bar ambiance were really nice, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, which definitely added to the experience. Overall, it’s a pleasant place to visit, especially for the vibe and service, even if the frozen custard didn’t quite wow me.

My family (husband + 3 small kids) had a terrible experience tonight. Things started off really well - we arrived with a group, for a total of 9 people. The Hostess was polite and friendly, and worked quickly to get us seated right away. The waitress came by right away. She took the drink orders quickly and they arrived quickly. She was very friendly! The waitress took our food order. We ordered food for the table, including appetizers. There were several items on the menu that weren’t available, and the waitress was super on top of it She handled it really well. I don't know the exact time our order was taken, but I know for sure it was before 6:35 because of a phone call I received afterward. This is where things went downhill. The waitress stopped coming to our table, not even to check in. It had gotten MUCH busier by this point. After we waited a while, my husband flagged down the waitress and asked if she had an ETA for the food. She said she wasn't sure because food runners take out the food, but she would check on it for us. She seemed flustered, but she was polite and responded well. The children were getting restless and were hungry. We discussed that knowing an ETA would make it easier to decide whether we should wait it out or just settle our bill and go. At this point it is 7:16 (41 minutes waiting). My husband found the waitress and asked for an ETA, and she said she didn't know. My husband told her that our kids really couldn't hang on for much longer, so we wanted to cancel the food and just head out. She told him we couldn't leave, because we had ordered food and would be required to pay for it. A woman standing nearby agreed, and she expressed that they were really busy right now. My husband came back to the table bewildered. They couldn't give us an ETA on the food, but it was past the point of cancelling the order? I suggested that maybe a manager would be able to check the kitchen and find out the ETA, because it certainly sounded like our food must have been started already if the order couldn't be cancelled anymore. My husband asked the waitress if he could speak to her manager, and she told him that this was the woman who had already spoken earlier. The manager went to the kitchen to check on the order. She came out to the table (7:23 at this point, 48 minutes after ordering) and echoed that she could not provide an ETA for the food - things were very busy right now. She also had a ticket in her hand that she showed to my husband, saying that our order had come in at 6:53, and that we had only been waiting 30 minutes for our apps. They went back and forth about whether or not this was actually the time we had placed the order. (But at this point it was clear to everyone - the order had been placed, but it hadn't been put in the system for a while.) She reiterated that we would have to pay for our food. My husband said we weren't going to pay for food if they couldn't even give us an ETA. She said that we would at least have to pay for the drinks. He said, "Of course we're going to pay for our drinks!” The manager said she was doing us a favor only charging for the drinks and not the food as well. The waitress brought out the checks shortly after. After we paid, we gathered the children to leave. As we walked past the waitress, my husband said, "Kid friendly? Yeah right." It was rude. I wish he hadn't said that to her, because it was over. When we all exited and stepped out onto the patio, the manager yelled across the restaurant, "Don't come back!" Yikes. Also rude. I wish she hadn't said that, because it was over. But she did. And we won't. My husband was irritated, but he didn't cuss at the staff or use foul language. The manager was also irritated and didn't use foul language, but she was very unprofessional. The waitress was a straight up class act. I hope the rest of her evening went better, and that she got huge tips from all of her tables. But we will not return to a place with this kind...

My family and I went to have a nice meal on a Sunday evening. The place was not too crowded and we found a seat in the back. There was a group in the front with two small children. The children started running around the front of the restaurant enjoying themselves. One of the adults starting running around the tables chasing them. The kids were screaming with delight and having a very good time. My family and I didn’t say anything even though it was quite distracting to us and I am certain the other patrons in the restaurant. However, when the children started running towards the back of the restaurant around our table my husband felt he needed to say something. He went up to our server and said that I know the kids are having fun but... she cut him off and said I know they are leaving. So he came and sat back down. The man that had been running with the kids spoke with our server and then walked over to us. Apparently he was the owner. He asked us if the kids had hit our table or something. We said no it’s just a little distracting to have them running in circles around our table. His response was, so they didn’t do anything to you, you just don’t like kids. We said no we love kids we just found it distracting when we are trying to have dinner. He was sarcastic and basically said again that we just didn’t like kids and walked away. He had no realization that it was unprofessional or hazardous to have two small children running and screaming while the servers are carrying trays of food and customers are trying to walk in and out. We decided to leave. We paid our check and walked out. As we did one of the other people from their group shouted at us to “Get a life!” I will never go to that restaurant again! The servers clearly felt bad, but the owner cares nothing for his customers! We were not in his home asking for special treatment we were in a restaurant simply asking for children not to be running in circles around our table and screaming. I don’t hate kids. I love them and watching them having fun is a joy. Watching them do so in an environment where they can be seriously injured is NOT! Watching the other customers feel very uncomfortable while they were trying to have a meal also sad! We have gone to this restaurant for years as well as many of our family members. We will definitely not...
