Let me start with WOW! I mean WOW! I'm Greek, born into the restaurant business in Detroit. My family is still in several restaurants. I've been to 100s of Greek places throughout the USA and some in other places in the world (including Greece) So I get here and the place is hopping, which you know what that means. I get seated and wait 20 minutes and no waiter....hmmm. I tell the hostess and next thing I know is the GM AND OWNER are all over me, give me a free drink and serve me by themselves. Exactly what you're supposed to do when you kind of screw up. Let's go to the food: Bread - wow, the best I've had in forever. Pure Greek style and right outta the oven Saganaki - 10+, I've never had better. Check out the pics, it's like a cake of Kaserri! Avegolemno - not too much lemon!! Thank you Greek salad - creamy dressing, which I'm not a fan of, but surprisingly good Horiatiki - because the Greek salad was small I ordered it over this. But I then told them to make a small Horiatiki. They did, OMG, perfection Triple platter - moussaka, dolmades and pastitio.what can I say? A home run for all three! It was steaming hot, an underrated important thing. Unique and awesome flavors and even the vegetables were great with a "Greek" flavor. Baklava - I heard it's great and got it togo. I'll have it in the hotel So bottom line, and I'm not Kidding, the best Greek restaurant I've been to in the USA ( I've been to at least 100). Go there if you are in St. Louis!!!!

Had an excellent outdoor patio dinner here on a beautiful May evening. Alita, our server, was fabulous, as were the other staff, and the food was delicious! We had 4 adult guests, each with separate entrees: 1) Souvlaki with rice pilaf and veggies (same for all entrees; see below) 2) Calves liver and onions with twice-baked potato and rice pilaf, plus perfectly sauteed zucchini, summer squash, carrots and red bell peppers 3) Gyro platter with rice pilaf and veggies 4) Mixed hot platter that offered a choice of 3/4; I skipped the dolmades to include these three mini entrees: moussaka, pasticcio, and 2 lamb shanks, plus rice pilaf and veggies. These 4 dishes are in the photos. Three of us shared the hot appetizer platter that had 2 each of: spanikopita, grilled shrimp in wine sauce, and the amazing fried cheese (nearby, prior to serving, set ablaze!, sauced, then cut into 6 pieces). Not pictured. Everything was carefully and perfectly prepared, with rich flavors and varied textures. Bread was also wonderful. Servings were so generous that we each will get one, two or even three more meals out of each of the entrees, so factor that into pricing assessments! Great way to celebrate my mom's 90th (she is in photo). For anyone willing to eat indoors, COVID risk is somewhat minimized by all staff's being fully vaccinated (but unmasked) and excellent air filtering system (banner on building to advertise that).

Came to Spiro's for a refreshing taste on my birthday, and Spiro's did not disappoint! First of all, every good restaurant has great bread and butter - this one's definitely fell under that category. Our Hot platter appetizer came with a quick flame showing before it was served. The food itself tasted great! We particularly liked the shrimp and the saganaki, although the spanakopita was a bit exotic for our taste (still worth the experience!) We each got something different, whether it be lamb, beef, or seafood. However, all of them were packed with protein, vegetables, and rice/potatoes. They all had a fantastically unique flavor! Personally, I wasn't the biggest fan of my lamb shank - it was a tad too salty and heavy, but the vegetables helped balance it out. The food also came in huge proportions. I'm sure my lamb shank could fill two moderately-hungry people. Great place to come for either the experience or a special occasion!

Always excellent tasting and fine quality food. The great servers warm the food and toss your salad tableside! Make sure to take advantage of their happy hour 3 course meal specials during the week, for $23 or less...good options too!

If you can't make it during the week, come by Friday and Saturday nights when Morgantown Duo plays! Kat and David are amazing and they sing from 7:30 to 9:30, or longer. They have hundreds of songs they know. If you make a request, they will sing it for you.

The flaming cheese appetizer, the Greek house salad, the Pastitsio, the trout, and the Baklava are my staples. Choose from a full bar for a drink of your choice.

You can eat in the bar area or the main dining area. Having a party or celebration? My family has only chosen Spiros for years. They accommodate smaller (50-75) venues well. I had my work holiday party there last year and Spiros made our experience so pleasant. They are so professional that, I could have been at a table of 4 vs the 35 that were there. Big or small tables get the same attentive service! Everyone wants to go there again this year! The entire restaurant is cozy and welcoming.

Tim is the owner of this chesterfield location. Once he meets you, you become a part of his family! He runs the whole place as though everyone who works there or visits, is family! You may also find his dad, Harry, the original owner visiting table to table.

You CAN'T go wrong here, ever. I am not exaggerating about this review. Check it out for yourself. I know you will enjoy it as much as my friends, family and I do. Then your review will be...
