Today (April 26) was my first time to ever eat at a Buffalo Wild Wings. I am NOT impressed. There were five in our party. Where do I begin to describe today's awful experience?
Took forever just to get waters we ordered. Waiter even made an off-handed comment about all of us ordering water. Yet, we make it a practice to drink water and would rather spend our money on entrees or appetizers. Ordered two appetizers. The color on the fried pickles was pale like they had not been fully cooked and the cheese sticks tasted more like they had been frozen and reheated in the microwave. Waiter finally showed back up so we could order our entrees. When the meals finally arrived, each person received their meal in the order it was placed - over the space of 10-12 minutes. By the time, the last meal arrived, the first person who got their food at our table was almost done! There was no explanation as to why and no apology. Problem with the meals Meal #1 - wings were lukewarm and no side as ordered Meal #2 - wings and again no side as ordered Meal #3 - double burger with fries that were bathed in salt Meal #4 - Mushroom Swiss double burger, dry bun, no sauce, no sauteed mushrooms or onions. At this point, one of the workers came and asked if we had ordered anything else. We were still missing meal #5 - chicken parmesan salad (which was fairly decent), the sides for meals 1&2, and my side which was a house salad. Finally getting a worker's attention, I said I was still missing dressing which arrived several minutes later. Customer service is sadly lacking. Some of our cups were empty and it took a different person than a waiter to even ask about bringing us more water. Finally got our check after others who arrived after us had received their checks. Atmosphere - With each screen playing and a couple of groups being allowed to scream and cheer for the games, it was extremely loud. In fact, it was one of the loudest restaurants I have ever eaten in. Even others around us were looking towards the groups in the back and making comments. On our way out, several team members were standing at the register area and nobody said a word to us. This was not a matter of being too full as to occupants or about being short-staffed as there were staff everywhere. Cleanliness - Bathrooms were filthy. Trash can was overflowing. Clearly had not been cleaned in awhile. Table we sat at was sticky and even some of the menus were sticky and had drink residue on them (like soda maybe). My guess is one of the managers or supervisors stopped by after we received our check finally to ask how things were. Never even stopped long enough to listen to our thoughts.
If this is normal practice for Buffalo Wild Wings, then I am surprised they are still in business! Overall, the atmosphere was horrible, the service was mediocre at best, the food was either too salty or not cooked per the requested orders, and all of this a poor reflection of management staff. While I hope this was just a bad day for them, I am not holding my breath.
To conclude, for all of the above, today's debacle was a very expensive (over-priced) fast-food...
Read moreWhen we arrived, the hostess just grabbed menus and tried to seat us. I'm carrying an infant, and she didn't ask if we needed a high chair. She tried to sit us at a booth on a platform that wouldn't work with the high chair, so I told her we needed a lower table. They close at midnight, at 830, and they were vacuuming the dining room. It's loud and bothersome, not something I wanted to deal with. We ordered boneless wings. They were dry and pretty tasteless. Wings also don't come with sides, so just wings. For our table, one tray of wings for 1 guest showed up at least 10 minutes before the other guests' food. Apparently, they have a policy not to let your food dry out under the heat lamps while others wait for food. So it's better that it gets cold on the table because I'm not going to eat in front of my friend who's hungry too? We ordered a small ramekin of mandarin oranges for my baby $1. The waitress had to be reminded to bring them. We were ordering drinks, and the waitress never kept our glasses full. We probably would have ordered at least 1-2 drinks more per person. I even had to get up and go to the bar to order my own 2nd drink because it had been 20 minutes since the waitress visited the table. She appeared when I got back and asked if I needed a drink, like not anymore... 30 minutes later, we were done and ready for boxes and checks, but she never came back, so I got up and found a manager and asked for checks and told her how I wanted them split. Instead of getting the checks as requested, she went for the waitress to get her to do her job, and I had to repeat my request. Apparently, the manager didn't know which guest had what. I'm pretty sure it's itemized per seat, but some struggle more...
Read moreA co worker and I went to grab a cold beer and watch a game on September 5,,around 7:30 pm. I asked for a female waitress as the male waiters here tend to be slow in the service. We were sat in a section and about 10 min later, a male server appeared. I simply made the comment-‘we asked for a female server’ and he left. A service manager appeared with a taller ‘general’ manager and I explained the situation and request. I offered to give the guy a chance but had bad experiences before either their male staff. He assured me that he would check on us. And both departed. My co worker and I began talking about the menu and how fond I had become of the chicken parm sandwhich and that’s it.., about 10 min later (and still no waiter) , the general manager approached and accused us of making racial remarks and said the entire staff did not feel comfortable waiting on us and said they would not be serving us’.., we said absolutely nothing and my co works who barely spoke at all point blank called him out and told him that was a lie. We never said anything about anyone and never would. A informed a friend that I met at the restaurant previously that I would not be going back here and explained what happened said this place has a reputation for kicking people out on made up excuses. Little did he realize that we had approximately 35 people in our group that have not gone back because they know my character and that I am not a racist. Considering filing a lawsuit for defamation of character. They have lost a lot a customer for life, not only from this location but every other city I visit from now on. Ivy, Alicia, and Taylor-wish you worked somewhere else other...
