I donāt have a lot of experience with other Burger King establishments but this place is really weird for so many reasons.
This BK is criminally understaffed. My food frequently takes forever or is made wrong. This is no fault to the staff working, they are always friendly and helpful (when they finally get the chance). They are much too busy to help you right when you come in so expect to wait at least three minutes.
The store is in intense disrepair. There are 4 menu screens above the registers. 1 is completely black and another is washed out and obvious broken. The other two work fine but will have pieces of paper taped over them frequently to denote an item being out of stock.
The CocaCola Freestyle soda machine works poorly and tastes bad. The touchscreen is very dated and unresponsive. When you finally select the variety of drink you want, expect a subpar soft drink experience. I am not kidding when I say the routine of getting a soda at this location takes a matter of 2 minutes.
The seating area and bathroom. This store is obviously suffering in a post-COVID world. The seats and tables are in disrepair, the floor is dirty, and the decor is entirely mismatched. Also thereās no mirror in the bathroom.
Anyway, I frequent this location as itās just up the road from me. I think this location just needs some love from management and corporate. I would also like to stress that none of this seems to be the fault of the employees. They seem to be doing their best under the conditions they have been given. I will continue to spend my money here despite the food being...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am tough on fast food joints but Burger King Store 1455 is worth the walk. I stopped for a pick-me-up breakfast and this store delivered. The Burger King breakfast menu is larger, cheaper and more tasty that the new McDonalds menu. The size of the croissant bun is smaller but now actually a better fit for the rest of the sandwich which seems to be about the same size. I can order a sandwich, a meal, or 2 for $5.00, which is a good deal (2 double patty sandwiches are $6.00 but I really cannot eat that much lol). The best part was ordering from a real person who alerted me to the deal, smiled, and gave me jam for the sandwiches (a Canadian Mennonite thing!) Also, the restaurant and bathroom were clean -- how long has it been since I have visited a clean McDonalds or Burger King in Chicago? No ordering terminals, no security guards... just people ordering hot food and coffee.
So -- Xers and Boomers, if you want a fast food experience that reminds you of how things used to be -- and to order from a real person instead of an app -- go say hi to Victor at 1401 W Fullerton ššš. It is worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreService was great, food was good, restaurant was clean, modern and well-stocked. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by not one, but two disruptive customers. They were not together yet it was obvious both were mentally ill. The milder mannered of the 2 walked around the table I was sitting at the entire I was there asking, "Can you turn the volume up on the tv?". I repeatedly told him "no, I'm sorry, sir." After the third time, I got up and moved to another table. Didn't make much of a difference, as he followed me there and continued with the walking and questioning. The more belligerent of the two came in loudly spewing profanity to the employees and Manager about not being given free food. Apparently, this is an everyday occurrence, according to the manager. She did ask this gentleman to leave after he threatened to "kill everybody in here!" and another customer stated he was calling the police. Again, my food was fine. Impossible Whopper was freshly made and the fries were piping hot but based on the experience I had, I don't think I'll be back to this location,...
