Very unhappy with our visit. Went late night with a group of 4. We were told that the burgers came with pickles and sauce only. We asked if there was lettuce or tomato and the man taking our order said "no sorry not on our late night menu". It took only about 5 minutes to get 2 burgers and an order of fries. Our burgers were partially burnt and semi-warm and the fries weren't fresh. Our friends who ordered right after us also asked what came on the burgers and the same man who took our order said "theres only pickles and sauce but if you dont like pickles we can add lettuce tomato and onion to compensate". By the time our friends received their food 20 minutes later, we had already finished eating. Our friends burger was also burnt and he asked for it to be remade and not only did they remake it but they brought him a doubleburger with extra bacon plus all the other fixings. When the guy brought the food out my boyfriend asked him why he told us there was not lettuce or tomato when there clearly is. The guy was speechless, the only words he got out were "we dont have it on our menu" as he smiled and walked away. The bestpart was right after that another guy came out with what I thought what might have been fresh fries for compensatio but it turned out to be a side of lettuce and tomato for our burgers that had been eaten about 30 minutes ago at that point. We didn't even get a "sorry" or anything. I wish I hadn't paid $22 for that. I have no desire to ever go back after that service! Now that I think of it there was a couple that was a few ppl ahead of us and returned there burgers. I almost think we were served their burgers on the count of them not being hot and it only taking less then 5 minutes to prepare out order and everyone else was at least 15 minites!!!! Moral of the story, make sure you complain so you can get the extra stuff that "isnt...
Read moreEpic Burger, does it live up to it's name? Is it really special or just another burger joint? In short, Epic Burger is above average but still average. The resturant boast a modern look with industrial style booths and lamps, complimented by its red and brown interior. The overall atmosphere can be described as mellow with a hint of edginess. The staff are quick but lack personality. Although many burger restaurants share these characteristics with regards to their staff, you would think for a place that has "Epic" in their title, you could get some people serving you that didn't sound like they rehearsed their lines. Again, average. The food was good but not amazing. For around $10 you can get a burger with fries and a drink. I personally had a single patty burger with their "famous " cheese on wheat bread. The ingredients are fresh but the menu lacks variety in toppings. The few premium toppings they offer come at an additional cost of about a $1. The quality of the meat was good, however, there was nothing special about the seasoning that was worth remembering. The sweet potato fries were by far the best component of the meal. They were crunchy and golden orange with a hint of butter and black pepper. I would recommend ordering the sweet potato fries with your meal. In conclusion, Epic Burger is a resturant for those looking for a meal that is above a typical fast food chain in a modern and mellow setting. It's not an epic burger but it is a...
Read moreOkay, I must admit I came here for their 10th anniversary special and the .10 cent burgers. My bill should have been $12.58 plus tax for 2 Epic Cheeseburgers, but, my total was only.22 cents including tax.
We got our two Epic Cheeseburgers to go, and I did not find the cheeseburgers to be greasy at all. Perhaps, because they had a chance to sit and relax.
I love that their buns are baked daily, the beef is all natural, halal-certified Creekstone Farms premium black angus. Our cheeseburgers were tasty and had a great smoky flavour. Really filling and I especially like the tangy epic sauce.
A single pattie burger is $6.29 and a double pattie burger is $7.79, comparable to similar burger restaurants.
We came in very late, twenty minutes before closing time. The employee behind the counter was surprisingly friendly and cheerful after a long day of people coming in and out for their 10th anniversary. The service was very fast considering it was the end of the day.
As someone else commented, I found the floor in the dining area to be a little too slippery. Is it because the grease gets on the floor or they clean it too often and leave soap on the floor?
The thing that I found really weird, is that they do not take cash, they only accept plastic.
For a fast, filling meal, head into...
