Explorer Café — Restaurant in Chicago

I hope I checked the review of this place before I go into it ! I was getting hungry and desperate !

We purchased a lightly burned 3/4 size frozen pizza for 36 dollars ! You are right ! It is the pepperoni pizza you got from Walmart and it is only 3/4 of it and it is slightly burned in the oven ! I blame myself for not doing the research and choosing the wrong cafe

Just cuz this cafe is in an important position , doesn’t mean it should take its customers for granted ! The server has got an attitude too —got a god style poker face sever! It must feel very important working in an important cafe in an important museum ! They are just lucky my spouse is quite easy going person !

Whew! Just let you guys know if you guys see this post !

Save your time and looking for other cafe in the museum or just buy some snacks !

Don t get mistreated here ! They don’t. Deserve you ! Unless they decide to change their way of sincerely serving with sincere food speaking...

I won't harp about everything being 100% overpriced because like Disney Land, they have a captive patronage and they price accordingly. My big issue here is you have to go up the the counter to place your order, but if you want a salad, you have to navigate back through the crowd control devices to get what you want, and then the salads aren't labeled, there is lettuce hanging outside the plastic container (extremely unsanitary) and they don't have everything in stock that is on the menu... I think anyway, because there is no way to know what they have and don't have since nothing is labeled. It's a really lazy and haphazard set up. The staff were friendly which is the only reason I'm rating two stars...

We got in at the beginning of the lunch rush on a not so busy day at the Field. It was clean and easy to grab a seat. The pizza is horrible, skip that for sure. The fries are what you’d expect. Chicken Caesar salad was decent (pick up your salad in the cooler before you go to the counter). The CHEESEBURGER, though? I feel like I found a hidden gem for a good burger! Smashed patties with nice crisp on the edges, buttery bun, melty cheese… So good! It was the only thing we ordered that was maybe worth the...
