Absolutely exceptional! We arrived late and weren't sure we would be able to be seated, but we were told it was no problem and given a spot. The wait was about 20 minutes on a Friday night, but well worth it! As a family of 4 we split the family meal (4 meats and 6 sides) - everything was excellent! We had the pulled pork, 2x ribs, and brisket. The ribs were a clear standout, although everything was good, especially with the addition of their homemade bbq Sauce. The okra is out of this world - some of the best I've ever had! The fried zucchini and mushrooms were also incredible! The Okie Fries were also extremely good and are absolutely worth ordering! They were the perfect ratio of potato, cheese, bacon, and chives! Absolutely wonderful. There are Dr. Pepper signs all over the restaurant for good reason. They serve a perfectly balanced Dr. Pepper - none of the over watered or under-carbonated drinks that have become so common. Every detail of the food here is taken seriously and it shows! Finally, our waitress Lisa was outstanding! She could not have been kinder or more patient. She was absolutely great about giving us time to order and explaining different dishes. Truly, probably the best and kindest waitress I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Lisa is fantastic!

We went there today for the 1st time on our way back from OKC. I ordered the sampler with potato salad and fried okra; my wife ordered the porkchops and onion rings. The portions were huge compared to any other BBQ place we’ve ever eaten. However, it was the flavor of the food that really made us fall in love with this place. The smoke flavor on the ribs, the beef, and the pork, were not overpowering like in so many other places. The porkchops were tender with a great grilled flavor. The potato salad was just right and not too flavory into any direction. Service was so efficient and friendly that we left a 30% tip. Having traveled to six continents, over 50 countries, and over 40 states, Jake’s Rib is within the 10 best BBQ places we’ve ever eaten. The only thing we did not care for was the sweet tea.

We stopped back at Jake’s Rib today the last and only time we had been there was 35 years ago. My wife was from OK and she took me there on my first visit. When we scheduled this trip back to OK Jake’s was on top of our list of things to do. They did not disappoint at all. From the friendly greeting we received when we walked in to the quick service by our server. The food was a good as we had remembered. The ribs were amazing the slaw and all of our sides were the best. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and couldn’t leave without a wonderful bowl of apple cobbler with a big scoop of ice cream. Can’t wait to stop by again sooner next time. Do t pass this gem up stop and get some great food and hospitality.

My family and I went to the Watermelon Festival last weekend and we had made plans to eat at Jakes Rib, had heard wonderful things about this place, wanted to try it out. When we arrived there was a waiting list, (expected) so we put our name down and began to wait. Then there was only one bench available for people to sit on, no a/c in that area, no one offered anyone of the 20 people waiting to be seated a drink of water or a chair or anything. It was about 100 degrees outside. The area where the bathrooms were, was small, no changing place for infants and extremely hot. There were about 8 tables (that I could see) empty. About 40 minutes after we arrived I asked how much longer it would be and they told me there was one more ahead of me with still 8 tables empty. Then a lady came out with some employees carrying food and stated "sorry it has taken so long to seat everyone we had a large TO GO ORDER", we will get you seated as soon as possible. We were seating shortly after that at a small round table for 4 adults and 1 highchair. We were so close to the next people no one could walk between us without both of us having to move. On top of all that it was so hot in there that people were fanning themselves with their menus. When we got our plates food was very good and lots of it no complaints there, but couldn't enjoy it because sweat rolling off of us. That business rakes in plenty of money to make the atmosphere better for all expecially when it is hot, think about expanding your business it will be in best interest of all your patrons whom keep your...

In all fairness, I didn't eat ribs so they may be great. My son ordered a pork chop dinner & he said it was really really good. The people are super friendly. They had a decent salad bar although it's a little hard to reach into & the tongs could be better but the lettuce was fresh & the dressing was good & they had a good variety of different items on there. I ordered a kids chicken meal, my husband & I both ordered the 14oz steak with potato. It took forever to get our food but when we did, they brought my steak 1st (only my steak), a few minutes later they brought my husband's steak (only his steak), a few minutes after that they brought my sons pork chop dinner & my baked potato & by this time I have 2 grand babies crying for food & theirs isn't there yet but a few minutes later they bring my husband's French fries & finally the kids chicken. By the time I got the kids food & got it cut up for them, my food was cold but their chicken was dry & had some kind of season that was kind of spicy & they wouldn't eat it (1 & 2 yr olds). My steak was cooked well & was juicy but like I said was cold by the time I got to eat because it was the first thing on the table & last thing to get to get eaten & almost 1/2 the steak was fat & gristle & not a lot of flavor. I realize it was only $16.95 but even for that it could have at least been brought out AFTER the kids meal so I could have at least eaten it...
