My husband and I went out for dinner, we were wanting to have a good dinner out together, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen because of this restaurant! We were seated by a very unprofessional “manager” and then the waitress came over to take our order. When I told her what I wanted, she asked me to show it to her on the menu. I did so and then repeated my order. She repeated it as well. My husband then ordered and she walked away, presumably to turn the order in. Finally our food was brought out, but it wasn’t what I had ordered. When I pointed this out to her, after we flagged her down, she took it and said, oh no, I will be right back. We didn’t see her again for approximately 20 minutes. No one else stopped by the table to check on us and I insisted my husband go ahead and eat, although I had no food. Finally she comes back with a plate of food and sets it in front of me. My husband was done eating, so I asked for a to go box. She brings it back along with the check. We were charged full price, I had water, but my husband had a soft drink, that wasn’t even comped. We go to the register to pay, at which time we get to encounter the unprofessional manager again. She asks how was everything? I said well, if our order hadn’t been messed up and I would have been able to eat, it would have been better. She says, oh well how was your food when you got it? I pointed to the box and said I don’t know, I didn’t get a chance to eat. Oh, okay, she says. She then reaches to snatch the credit card from my hand and I said, I’m turning it on, it won’t go through otherwise. She says, oh. I turned the card on and hand it to her and she hands me an ink pen to sign with, which didn’t work. I told her it didn’t work and she proceeded to stick her tongue out and kept touching the pen to her tongue over and over. After we left I told my husband I would call and speak with the owner the next day. I wanted to do that instead of giving them a bad review or blasting them on social media. I tried to speak with the owner, but the unprofessional manager refused to let me. Then after she hung up on me, she just let the phone ring and wouldn’t answer it. This was hands down the worst experience we’ve had in Chickasha. I would recommend ANY OTHER RESTAURANT IN CHICKASHA...
Read morePlease heed my warning. Don't believe these reviews, they're either written by the restaurant staff or by people with very poor standards.
My wife and I ate here 2 nights ago (on a Friday at 7:15) on our way back to OKC, and we will never make that mistake again. No one greeted us when we walked in and the booth seats are very uncomfortable. There was also a strange odor, like an old refrigerator, that we noticed as we came in. Neither of those things are a big deal, but the food is where this restaurant really falls short.
The amazing rolls that you read about in these other reviews are simply dinner rolls with a little garlic on them. I ordered the chicken arrabiata and my wife had the chicken parmigiana with a house salad. She had the house Italian dressing, which was actually not bad, but they put so much on as to render the salad inedible. The 'marinara' on her chicken parm tasted almost exactly like Chef Boyardee, complete with little crumbles of hamburger meat. The breading was like what you would find on a chicken fried steak, and it was entirely too much. The white wine cream sauce with my dish was very watery, like thin soup. The chicken on both our plates was bland and tasted like bag chicken. Everything about our food tasted cheap and poorly thought out.
If you are in Chickasha and crave Italian food, just drive the 35 minutes to OKC, you can throw a rock there and hit a dozen places that will leave you more satisfied. I can't believe this place stays in business. I will say that the gentleman, I think his name was Matt Cowell, who was playing live music was very enjoyable. Thank you sir for being the one bright spot in an otherwise dull and...
Read moreWe went out to dinner with some friends before a concert in chickasha this past weekend. We stopped in to have dinner here and we enjoyed a nice meal.
The bread they bring out when you first sit down is amazing.
The service was a little gruff but we were taking care of. I think there's a slight language barrier which made ordering a little tougher than in other places we have eaten.
The gnocchi special was spicy and good.
The spaghetti with meatballs and sausage was good.
Overall reading some of the reviews I believe that it's less about the food and more complaints about the service. I don't believe the service is all that terrible they're just a little rough around the edges and people want to be catered to weather going out to eat and I don't disagree. Years ago we had friends that owned an Italian restaurant the food was fantastic but they were very gruff in their presentation and service but good food is good food.
We don't make it to chickasha very often but this one is definitely not marked off our list. We would eat there again for sure.
If you're going to eat here go in with an open mind and understand they're not going to be falling all over you with service like you would get at mahogany or a high-end restaurant. The food presentation is non-existent but I would rather just have good food I don't care how fancy it is displayed...
