Habanero’s Taqueria — Restaurant in Chico

I ordered one of each kind. Sorry I forgot to take a picture. So let us begin. Loved, loved, loved the chicken. It had some kind of red sauce. Was not dry. The chicken was not spicy. So my first place. The El Pastor tacos, nice flavor, again some kind of red sauce, not spicy. So my second place. The beef was my least favorite. Again not spicy. (You can ask for spicy salsa). So all in all a good place to visit. Prices are reasonable, to the area.i came on a Saturday after lunch, so it wasn’t busy. The people were very friendly. In my quest to try every taco truck in Chico, Habanero's was next in line. Ordered a regular asada burrito and a regular pastor burrito. The lady working the register had a wonderful smile and was very nice, she even brought my order out to me when it was ready. Unfortunately the food itself was quite underwhelming. As it seems to be with several other trucks, the burritos were good sized but there was too little meat and way too much rice. The flavors were very tame, bordering on bland, and sadly the asada was mostly gristle. The pastor was juicy but again, not much flavor. Overall, the food was below average but the service was spectacular. With so many other trucks available, I will not be a repeat customer...

Times have changed and that needs to be addressed. I asked for a burrito with everything on it except beans. I received a burrito with next to no meat lots of rice that was okay but next to no sour cream in fact I don't remember sour cream basically without any real meat, carne asada or asada burrito is wrong. you can tell there's no business at that truck anymore because they're burning people they seem to think they're Taco Bell. Taco super Tanya, 4.9. 5th Street or one way up North on esplanade a little more expensive, or up in Paradise all of those trucks give quality carne asada burritos. Don't fall for this place it deserves...
