I'll start by saying I've come to Nash's restaurant every year for my birthday with a larger party for the last several years and have never been treated this way. Even though I'm aware Nash's doesn't take reservations for Saturday morning we still called a few days before to ensure they would be able to accommodate a party of 12. We were politely told it would not be a problem and while they don't take reservations to try and arrive 20 minutes early to put a name down and when half the party arrived we could be seated. Ok, so Saturday 8/24/24 I arrive promptly at 9:40 and inform a young shorter girl with black hair in a low bun that my party of 12 will be arriving at 10. She looks up at me very annoyed and says "well did you call?" I say "I thought you didn't take reservations Saturday morning, but I did infact call and was told to arrive 20 minutes early and it would be no problem..." she told me to have a seat. 25 minutes later, she approached me and said "I can seat your party right now outside." It was lightly raining and very windy and I said you know we all prefer inside. She says "well that's gonna be another 30 minutes." I said that's totally fine, worth the wait to not be eating in the cold wet and wind. She rolled her eyes and walked off. Me and my party of 12 continued to wait inside in the lobby for an additional 45 minutes with the same young front desk girl with black hair consistently looking at us with disgust. She walked by several time to call people from the outside waiting area and multiple times I smiled as she walked by and she not once returned a smile but instead had an annoyed look at us. After over an hour of waiting we politely asked about how much longer and if there was any other set of tables we could be sat at and instead of looking around to find a solution she would flat out quickly say no. RIGHT infront of us there was a table of empty 12 seats that would have seated us perfectly and we inquired about possibly sitting there and she said "no, you guys would make this room too loud." Mind you, we had already been sitting inside in the lobby for over an hour and had not once gone above volume. The table they were allegedly waiting on finally became available we waited an additional 15-20 minutes for the table to be cleaned. We counted over 15 groups of parties of 4-6 people come in after us and were seated promptly yet we were waiting there for our table for an hour and a half with no efforts to accommodate us. The girl at the front desk with the black hair was extremely rude and it got to the point where every member of our party felt uncomfortable and ready to walk out because we did not feel respected in the way she was answering our questions and looking us up and down every few minutes. I would like to add that our server and the young girl serving our drinks once we were seated were very pleasant and we have no complaints at all about them. Our party ranged from women between 20s-50s and even the older women in our party were appalled by the behavior and attitude of the girl with the black hair at the front desk. One of the ladies in our party asked on our way out to speak to a manager and she said "there's no manager here." We asked if there was a supervisor or any kind of team leader or higher up person and she rudely said "we don't have anyone like that on site ever." We were just hoping we could share our experience with someone so they could try and correct the behavior of the girl with the black hair. This why I resulted to publicly sharing my experience on here, because it was blatantly disrespectful and jarring how we were treated. We were also a party of "color", so I hate to think that had anything to do with her treatment of us. I use to love and respect this establishment but can't agree to return with someone like that being the first point of contact to their...
Read moreI went here for breakfast while visiting my brother and his girlfriend. The space at Nash's is very cool. The layout features about 4 or 5 different seating areas - a quiet, upscale, and slow-paced room where breakfast is served, a divided lunch room with an open bar at one side and a small protruding room in which to eat lunch away from the bar, a long and wide covered room decorated with a rustic theme and rough cut lumber exposed that connects the two aforementioned rooms together, and an outside covered dining area.
The atmosphere was great and was flexible enough many different dining experiences and could accommodate large groups or just a casual lunch-break diner.
The food was just as good as the atmosphere. I had the camper scramble (eggs, bacon, onions, potatoes, veggies, cheese) that came with two hot cakes. This three-egg scramble and pancakes were filling and cost a cool 11 bucks. My brother got the biscuts and gravy which came with hashbrowns and eggs. The gravy was delicious and his meal was good too (we all shared bites). My brother's girlfriend got a chicken fried stake that was delicious and another friend of ours who came got the eggs Benedict. My brother and his girlfriend really liked it, but I am not a fan of eggs benedict, even when they are as good as he and my brother said they were.
The prices were very affordable and I left there feelings like I got away with something because of all the value I captured with the few dollars my meal and experience cost me.
Just so that there can be some constructive criticism, I will add two things that could change. The service - the service was a little bit slow, and if the atmostphere wasn't so good and we weren't already having such a good time, that may have been a disadvantage. Also, when I went to the bathroom on my way out I turned on the water while I scrubbed my hands. When I stuck my hand under the water I had to yank it back as it was scorching hot. I would try and control that temperature and don't let customers have access to water that hot!
This place is great for groups of any size. If you want a quiet meal with great food, a more energetic atmosphere with great food, or a relaxing outdoor experience with great food, all of which comes at an affordable price, go to Nash's.

Read moreWe have been here many times, the food and service have always been great. Not today. My wife ordered her meal with the champagne brunch, which is unlimited. All of our previous times eating here the staff have been very attentive and regularly check on us and keep our glasses full. Today our glasses glasses were empty for a good 20 minutes before I was able to ask our waitress for a refill. Normally that's not a big deal. What tipped the scales from just bad service to me leaving was the horrible attitude the waitress got when I asked for a refill and reminded her that glasses should never be left empty. This is basic hospitality even Dennys provides. I was taken aback by her lack of service and down right rudeness. I told her the service was unacceptable and asked for to go boxes because she obviously wasn't able to perform her job. Here comes more attitude. I work in the restaurant industry and understand how tough things can be sometimes, including unseen back of the house issues. Whatever was going on with this waitress, her actions and attitude were unacceptable and she should not be interacting with customers. For two Benedict meals and a champagne cost $54. The food is good but I usually come here for the excellent service, justifying the cost. With bad service what am I paying for? Plus a new $2 fee to pay with a card? People have bad days, and bad service happens. I understand that. What happened today was beyond that. I have always held this restaurant and it's staff in high regards for the quality they provide. Not anymore. It's sad how one person can ruin an otherwise great place. The waitress name was Amy M. I hope she can fix whatever it is that has her life...
