Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Chico

The food, to me, is great. One of the best chicken places out there. It's crunchy and not super greasy which is a plus. I love the option of being able to do half spicy half classic when getting a multi piece chicken set. My go-to is bone in classic with mac n cheese side or their classic chicken sandwich. Even their mashed potatoes and gravy side is good and I'm not one to aim toward eating gravy usually I have tried their spicy chicken alternative and I would say as someone who can't tolerate too much spice, I think it's just enough to not be too overpowering. (But, as with most spicy things, the more you eat, the more it builds - but still not too bad!)

I usually do take-out since sitting in a fast food place isn't really my vibe. I will say the atmosphere isn't the best anyway. When I've gone it isn't the most clean of a place, however, it's important to note that 9.9/10 they're understaffed and doing their best it seems. During rush times, you may have to wait quite a while for your food, depending what you order.

Even with being understaffed they're still very kind and the manager sometimes has even thrown in an extra apple pie or given us free drinks because of the wait time for our food.

Even considering the flaws, I still definitely recommend Popeye's and I will keep going back. The quality of the food and taste is...

Just as others have expressed I attempted to use an online coupon in the Drive-Thru and I guess I spoke at the wrong time because I was berated ,threatened and insulted for absolutely no reason specifically by the manager and her flock of screaming High School aged Employees that literally surrounded my car. That person should not be the manager if they're going to be so aggressive to their customers and cultivate that type of work environment for their employees. I actually considered calling the police because I felt so violated I would never recommend anyone to go to this restaurant it is a horrible experience run by horrible people. Also Im sending this message directly to whoever is replying on Popeyes side of all these reviews. You're blanket reply statement is not going to help the situation whatsoever and it is a joke that you would even reply in such an overtly lazy way it really just underlines how poorly this location is being managed. The tenders are wonderful. If your ordering a meal for your family think twice! Double check and expect to wait Atleast a hour...The experience we had was horrific. We ordered a family meal plush a few other things. We knew there would be a wait. about 30min later Someone came out saying how sorry they were they had a shift change and wasn’t informed... then 25/30 min later they come out saying they got busy and they were packing the order right now they threw in a few extras and they were sorry. ordered at @ about 4 she handed it to us at 5:05. we realized we were missing food, everything but the chicken was cold, the pies couldn’t eat them and nothing extra (didn’t care at this point) called and The manager (sage) if that was her name was very smug that like fake nice I don’t care at all nothing I can do sorry for your wait.
