Romano's Pizza — Restaurant in Chicopee

Recently, the food my parents and I have been receiving have been near cheap bar-quality food, or lower. The pizza sauce gets old very fast, and at times can taste really gnarly. The grinders often are choose to charred completely when asked for "toasted", and often are made against it's original order (please see below for examples).

Its now at the point where we are looking at other pizza/grinder places to replace them.

The recent menu has went up in prices, while the quality has either remained at a "sub-par" level or lower.

We have received more orders messed up from here (or with random added stuff added to it). Such as buffalo chicken grinders with extra MAYO, when it should've been extra blue cheese; Cambridge grinder with extra mustard and no mayo, when asked extra mayo and a little mustard, hockey puck cheeseburger grinder with mayo, when no mayo was asked, etc-etc. Similar to my Brother's Pizza review, a lot of the food we order are too hard to eat or vile tasting.

Depending on the women who are working the phone during the evening, you run the chance of getting a confrontational woman who deems the error is always on the caller", vs someone who is compassionate and willing to fix the problem immediately.

If you are requesting chips with your meal (several deals offer it), ask them what chips they have and either write them down or remember them: majority of the time, they will just give you the plain ones, even if you ask for Doritos or sour cream and onion.

My parents and I have received more credit's to our debit/credit accounts than non-returned orders from them.

The only good qualities they have is that they are located dead-center of Chicopee center, the deals often think more of a family aspect (offers chips and a drink to match the order) and that the grinders they give you are quite large.

Other than that, buyer beware and BE-AWARE. Do not be afraid to call up...

Quality has gone downhill in the past year. Online ordering is horrendous.they changed websites and it's almost like they discourage you from using it. Don't listen to special requests like no lettuce or litely toasted. Wings are blah bland an dry almost like overcooked it reheated from previous day. Charge $1.25 per add on for grinders highway robbery! My bf grinder ends up being $15 for adding veggies! They don't fill the grinders as full as they used to doesn't seem like value for the prices charged . Cheeses an sauces are the bomb. Best anywhere ever! We ordered a pizza with hamburger and bacon with garlic knots, the wait wasn’t too bad but the food was just NOT IT. The pizza was dry with barely any tomato sauce making it feel like you’re just eating bread with cheese, bacon and sausage. The garlic knots was worse it didn’t even taste like anything plus bread was kinda burnt on top of that and the sauce was spilt all over the place when we received it. We called the restaurant to inform them we wanted a refund the lady was rude and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. Her tone of voice sounded very annoyed from the very beginning. The only thing I could say is she sent out her delivery driver to come grab the food. Don’t pay in card if you plan on buying food from here it’ll take 7-10 business days.
