Hello everybody Last. Night I WAS out with my family( My Husband,My Son and My Grandson) We arrived at 7:30 pm. The Restaurant closes at 9:30 pm. My experiences there was not a good one at all as many experiences I had there with staff being attentive was not good as well. We had to continuously ask for our drink refills,at a certain point the server stopped picking up our empty plates and cups from the table and they charged full price for the buffet after putting up the majority of the food. At 8:30 pm they were still letting people in with only half of the food out and all the sushi put away. It was only when I took my phone and started recording including experiencing watching one of the lady's who was putting the Melon away taking the Melon away from a Customer who just paid. The customer literally was trying to grab a piece when the lady was grabbing it back from the customer. WHERE DO THEY DO THAT?? After realizing I was recording them they became attentive. WITH AN ATTITUDE!! and brought the food that they were trying to put away back out. Than to top off the night they sat at a table across from us and googly eyed us the rest of the night with an Attitude all the way down to paying for our meal. ( No the server did not get a tip from neither of us) If your going to charge all that money.( Because it is expensive) Than you can at least give the customers who pay for the food a welcoming experience. It's bad enough that you really don't know how some people's lives are. Than you go to enjoy a family dinner to try to relieve your stress and instead you leave feeling worse than when you walked in and to be Brutally Honest the food has gotten down so many levels. Last visit we went there with other family members. My Husband got food poisoning from their Oysters. Why he wanted to go back there is beyond me. They have really good fried shrimp and egg drop soup but can do without because of the uncomfortable feeling that the Atmosphere made me feel. I personally really don't want to go again unless things change but everyone has a different experience so you must judge for yourself. Hope this review...
Read moreI was worried about all the one-star reviews and horror stories on here. Having gone here today for an early dinner, I would say that those reviews of this place are entirely unjustified! I found my experience to be rather pleasant here, minus the typical horrors of driving near the insane Chicopee Walmart and Memorial Drive in general (which can't be helped). I found the overall experience to be pleasantly surprising.
Walking in, it definitely gives off an outdated vibe, but it's an insanely clean restaurant and they have really nice bathrooms (minus the bad paint job on the doors). There are two hostesses, or something, and the one on the right was pretty dismissive, but she wasn't doing much. I was seated right away, served my drink (water), and got to eating. My waiter was exceedingly polite and attentive. I was served in under 2 minutes.
The food is what you expect of a cheap Chinese place. People on here are expecting way too much; this isn't Michelin star dining! I love Asian food in general and I've eaten at probably 100+ restaurants. I would say this place is above-average for value. For
Read more(Please note caps for emphasis) One star is MUCH too generous. Not ok for vegetarians at all, but all eaters should go elsewhere! The food was ALL disgusting; it was bland, greasy and the few veggies and fruits were mushy and NOT fresh; the lettuce was even brown around the edges! The server was quick in removing the plates full of unwanted food, but not friendly, and never asked what was going on that we were not eating, eventhough we kept going back to the buffet and returning with full plates of unrelated items. The king crab legs, and shrimp, which were the only things that were decent, were SO slow in coming out, that after over an hour there, I left hungry. FURTHERMORE, both my children are still struggling with belly aches from the few fried potatoes, canned fruit, and a couple of desserts that they found to eat (they are vegetarians so they could not partake of the crab legs or shrimp). I could go on and on, since we were very hungry, and it was late, therefore we tried really hard to find something decent. It might suffice to say that they were so talented at making decent ingredients into gross food, that they even botched porkfried rice; it was bland & sticky mush, like they just combined sticky rice with a few pieces of chopped up boneless ribs, and oil. The ambience was also not great, as the floors were slippery in places, and sticky in others. (PS. The photo is my child's selfie as proof of boredom while inside the "Royal Buffet," waiting for me to wait for the mentioned crab legs...
