Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Chicopee

Sorely disappointed. If you're looking for anything that tastes remotely like real hibachi... Go elsewhere. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Hibachi. The dish is about 95% cabbage swamp in a very weird overly-sweet flavorless sauce. Seriously, the vegetables and chicken are DROWNING in this horrible sauce (see photo). All of this sauce easily makes it's way out of the container, making a mess and leaving you carrying a nearly disintegrated paper bag, (where the food almost dropped out of the bottom). The chicken seemed like something out of a microwave. I ordered it with fried rice, that was not fried at all. Looks like they took white rice and added some carrot pieces and threw some soy sauce on top. No egg, no other vegetables, and bland. For over $18 total, you could go to a real hibachi and get far better quality food. I will never be going back to this place. I already can't wait for this place to shut down (no offense) and another contender to try...

I didn’t eat in, I ordered take out so I’m only reviewing the food.

I placed a decent sized order; Vegetable Pad Thai with Tofu, Orange Chicken, Vegetable Lo Mein, Shrimp Lo Mein, Steak Lo Mein, Pork Goyza, and Crab Rangoon. My Pad Thai noodles were very over cooked, no vegetables other than broccoli and the tofu pieces were the size of my pinky nail. The flavor was lacking, nothing like the Pad Thai’s I’ve had in the area. The Vegetable Lo Mein was a little lacking in flavor, I had to add some sesame oil and soy sauce to give it some flavor and again the vegetables were nonexistent. The other people in my group didn’t have many complaints besides lack of vegetables in their Lo Meins. The gyoza were okay, and the crab rangoons were very tasty.

Overall it wasn’t that good and I was left feeling really disappointed and sad I wasted a lot of money. But I would try dining in to see if that...

I'm addicted to their pork belly fried rice and pork udon soup. The pork is incredibly tender and flavorful, just the perfect texture through and through. It's come to occupy a unique niche that I didn't know I needed filled until I found it. I'm so glad they opened! Please help this business stick around. Although the prices are higher, you are indeed getting quality to match! They've handled the growing pains of opening a new business quite gracefully so far; here's hoping they'll stick around long enough to truly hit their stride.
