Omg, talk about a hiding gem. This place is incredible. We Google places to eat in Chillicothe and decided on this place because open roast beef sandwiches are one of my favorites. We went inside and placed an order to go while waiting, We just walked around to check the place out First off, the woman who took our order was extremely nice and helpful. The restaurant was very clean, the atmosphere was inviting and the table arrangements were very nice. It was a lot larger inside than we expected and can accommodate large groups. The menue had a nice assortment of items, and everything on it looked l delicious. We got our oder to go and went to a local park to eat. When I opened it, I was presently surprised at the amount of roast beef we had. The roast beef was stacked on top of a piece of white break and covered with gravy. The order came with two sides. One side was a scoop of mashed potatoes covered with gravy, and it looked like the skin was left on them them giving them a soft, creamy texture. The other side we ordered was Mac and cheese, and it had a spicy kick to it. They also included a roll in our order, which we halfed up and made a roast beef slider including all the sides! I cannot say enough about how great the food was and how much we enjoyed eating here. I could not understand why this place was not packed because it is definitely well worth the drive for us! If you have never heard of this place or live in Chillicothe and have never tried this place, I highly recommend it!! The cheese cake looked homemade, and I wish I would have ordered it! Read moreBell Farms, is by far the best restaurant that I have ever eaten at. I try to avoid chain restaurants and this experience is what I try to find. We could smell the meat from the parking lot. Walked by the smokers, which were well taken care of. Walking in, it is cute, quaint, and clean. We were instantly greeted, and the waitress was great. (Hint for the guys, take your girl there for a date, most will love it.) I ordered the Brisket Pimento Cheese Sandwich, side of coleslaw, a sweet tea and banana pudding. Seriously, the first bite was way more then expected. I paused look at my wife and had to say this is amazing. I jokingly told her that was going to cry.🤣 The blend of the brisket and the pimento cheese was awesome. The sweet tea was real brewed tea, sweetened with real sugar. It wasn't overly sweet, it was just right. Plus, their tea is has an extra flavor that takes it to another level. Now to the banana pudding. It was made with real heavy cream, real bananas and with vanilla wafers. It was so good. We live about 3.5 hrs away, but will definitely be back when come south again.
To the people who built the menu and recipes, you really hit the ball out of the park. You obviously put some solid work and care...
Read moreMy husband and I were excited to try this new place in town. Chillicothe does not have a lot of dining options, and I was pleased to see a new local restaurant had opened up. The restaurant is small but has a great intimate atmosphere that I loved, and it has a home like feel to it. It's very clean and nicely decorated with an old-time vibe. We were seated quickly, our waitress was wonderful, and we received our food fast.
Unfortunately, we were not fans of the food. The brisket was soft but bland and on the dry side. It tasted old and reheated. I had the brisket and noodles, which were ok but not great. They had an overly smokey Salisbury steak gravy taste. The mashed potatoes and brown gravy were good but very basic and typical. The green beans were basic (canned green beans, onion, small ham cubes). I did, however, enjoy our appetizer, which was the salmon pate and crackers. The sweet tea is the bomb!
To be fair, my husband and I have traveled everywhere. We have had some of the best BBQ around the country, and my husband smokes some incredible food. So, we do have high expectations.
Overall, this is a nice addition to the Chillicothe area, but personally, we won't be returning. It just...
